Shoe Show And Co - Any Experiences

Hello,

I ran across a Shoe Dept Encore in one of our malls here in Phoenix.  When I looked them up online I found that they have a number of stores that all sell shoes at prices that are less expensive than Payless.  They have a handful of styles with tall heels that go up to size twelve - even including wedges.

Has anybody had any experiences with Shoe Show or any of their sister stores.  I have thought about making a purchase for months.  I am wondering about size comparison, quality, and customer service.

It will still be a couple months until I make a purchase as I am losing my job and moving to another state to start a new job.  Should I wind up buying anything I'll advise.

Thanks, Larry

Well if they have stores near you, why don't you give them a try and let us know.

On my first visit the local store one had one pair in stock that was size 12.  I didn't really care for the style and didn't think to try them on to get a feel for the sizing.  On my second visit they didn't have any shoes in size 12.  Online they seem to have quite a few available in size 12 and I have seen their shoes show up on eBay in size 12.

It is funny because the wedges on eBay were "buy it now" priced at $75 but new in store or online they cost around $25.

I would agree with LuvyourShoes , We have a Shoe Show here in Louisville and they do tend to carry larger women's sizes. I would just like to caution you about two brands they carry , Hot Tomato and It's OK brands are not to well made and I have never had a pair to hold up . The upper's tend to crack and the soles like to separate . If you plan to wear them on special occasions they should do fine . Good luck and like Shafted said give them a try.

Shoe Show is where the black heels in my pic series heels ,stockings, and skirt (in for the guys section) came from, they are size 11 and fit perfectly...I am well pleased with them and as best as I remember, they cost less than $25.

Shoe Show and Shoe Dept are the same company, as you probably guessed if you found their website. Shoe Show has the discount shoes variety, and like another post stated, they don't tend to hold up too well for daily use. I actually bought a pair of heels from shoe show last week, the Hot Tomato "Rebecca" heels in sky blue color. I love the look of them and they fit pretty well, but I wore them for three hours this past Monday (three hours standing and walking, not sitting) and the next day my feet were hurting terribly. I have worn heels for years, and the day my feet hurt so bad, I actually didn't want to wear any heels that day ... And that is the first time that's ever happened to me! Also the first time I have ever bought gel insoles to put in shoes too because they are too cute to not wear. As far as sizing, it can be pretty hit or miss for sizes larger than 11 US. Kind of like payless I guess. And then again sometimes they will have a large selection of 12s and some 13s. I guess they may have a shoe theft problem too, because some styles will have only one shoe out and you have to ask for the mate to try them on. Shoe Dept generally carries a better shoe, as well as some name brands. The bigger stores have Steve Maddens, Nine West, etc. and I have also seen some 12s in shoe dept, usually in the Nine West brand or some of the cheaper off brands they carry. I will also say that I have never had a problem trying on shoes at shoe show, even with having to ask for the mates from the Sales associate. I guess I have visited close to 15 different shoe show stores, and probably about the same amount for shoe dept as well. If you shop there, try them on in store. The sizing across the same brand but different styles at shoe show seem to vary largely. Dude
