Kay. I'm new here but I'm working on it
Default No permission?

Often when I click something I get these error messages:

"Kay., you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation."
OR

"Sorry, you are not permitted to have a signature."
"Sorry, you are not permitted to ... "

I can't have a signature or avatar for example. Is there a reason for this...do I need a certain amount of posts first or so?

Sorry if this is somewhere already explained in some FAQ, I didn't find it by browsing.

I got 2 emails (one with the validation code and another one after my account was activated) but there's no explanation of my question in it...

You should have received an email detailing things like this, it has lots of
"GUYS, DO NOT POST IN THE GIRLS FORUM, EVER!!!" in it many times too..

Check your spam folders...

I didn't get this one, only the first two. And it isn't in my spam folder either.
Is it possible to re-send it or to just copy it here please?

Kay,

First of all: welkom hier.

About your question: some functionality of the forum (like the parts mentioned by you) become available, once you have made 5 posts. So by now, you're already there.

hi all: i just wanted to also say i had the same issue too with not getting the welcome email that i was told about in my post in regards to a question i also had on the tech support board too, as i am a very smart and intelligent college educated female almost 40 years old that knows if i would have received such an email or not and if i would have i most certainly would not have put a question on a board just for my own self amusement to waste the time of others to answer. so maybe the people in charge of sending out such info to the new members should check and see if there might be some issue with the software this board uses and find if the correct info is not being sent out because for the most part i rest assured the vast majority of people in life these days are still capable of knowing right from wrong and not to ask stupid questions. i hope no one takes offense too this reply but i would like to still hope there is still some common sense left in this world today, thanks for reading and have a great day and keep on high steppin'...

I'm new here as well, and I got nothing to explain that I need 5 posts before any permissions would be granted. Could this not be explained, either as part of registration or on each connection until 5 posts have been made?
