I've been wanting to write up a review and post pics about this place for a couple of weeks now, but have been tied up with so many other things, but here I am now, to inform all of you great people about a store here in the OC called Orangeclubwear.

I had been doing searches online for retail stores in the surrounding area that sold boots and shoes in large sizes, not to mention some fashionable clothing and my search came to this place through Yelp. If you haven't used Yelp, do so, they are the quintessential site for getting the skinny on any retail and/or internet site with directions, tele numbers, reviews, etc.

Anywho, I checked them out and really the only review was done as a bio for the owner and the pics that were there were taken by the same person. What grabbed me was the fact that they do online sales along with having a retail store and the location was only about 15 minutes from where I'm at. So I got into my car and made the drive over there to see what this place was all about.

When i arrived, I thought I had made a mistake, since the store's location was in a business park. Prior searches for "retail" stores took me to similiar locations which revealed they were offices for their online stores, not an actual retail store you could shop in. I walked to the front door and walked in. Immediately, my suspicions were laid to rest when I saw several different models of shoes sitting around the main foyer with corresponding shoe boxes. This is a retail store i said to myself and almost immediately, a very kind and beautiful woman greeted me. I come to find out she is the wife of the owner. She took me into the back of the store, where it was like Dorothy entering Oz. To my left were racks of clothing all over the place, mainly outfits for clubbing or for those gals who dance in gentlemen's clubs. Looking straight ahead though, my heart skipped a beat. I saw shelves of glorious shoes and boots, most if not all were stilettos, stilettos with plats and of course boots.

She asked what I was looking for and I told her the story of how I found the place and what I was mainly looking for which was a retail store to shop in. I gave her the excuse, which wasn't too far from the truth that I do photography work, i was in town and needed a place to pick up the off-outfit for a shoot. She then immediately left to get her husband and to introduce us. i was then approached by the owner, who was very polite and courteous. We spoke for a little while, me reiterating why I was there and then he seemed rather excited to show me the rest of the place.

He gave me some background on his business: The company started in NY and was there for quite a while until they decided to move west, mainly for a change of scenery and weather and they have been in the OC for only a couple of months, which explained the endless galaxy of shoes strewn everywhere. He explained that he had plans to renovate the space he has to make it more retail friendly, but overall, he is in business and it's booming. I asked about cleintell and he said that for the most part, his place catered to the dancers in the LA area and it was a place most of them went to to get their clothes and shoes.

He led me upstairs and this is where the magic was revealed...more shelves of shoes and boots but in large sizes. He still seemed to be under the impression that I was there to shop for myself, but I kept silent and allowed him to continue the tour. he showed me some models of shoes and boots and stated that all of his shoes and boots catered to large sizes as well, and from what I gathered, his largest size was around a size 17 (pretty frick'n big!). Some of the models I saw were familiar but some looked very unique and he said those shoes are specially made for his biz, another big plus...custom designed shoes.

I figure out of all of the shoes and boots he carries, most are made by Pleaser and it is evident on his site too, but again, you CAN purchase there at the store and get a bit of a discount, say around 10% or so less than internet pricing. I have to mention that downstairs on those shelves, he had around 7 to 10 different variations of the Bordello Teaz....those beautiful hidden platform pumps with a 5 3.4" heel...my dream shoe. :)

In any case, we talked for about 2 hours total and got a really good feel for how he does business. The biggest selling point is not only their internet and retail sales but the fact that they "touch" their items, as he likes to call it. Basically it boils down to this: Most internet retailers sell their products but don't actually handle them. they have a warehouse that receives orders and they get fullfilled and are sent out but are never handled by the owner to be able to provide more accurate descriptions. These folks at Orangeclubwear know their stock well and if you are nice enough, you can email them with questions like how the shoes fit, if you need to go up a size, the material, etc. all before you actually make a purchase. The wife, who is an ex advertising person, does most of the phone work and she is very kind (did I mention beautiful too?). They will go out of their way to help out the customer, which is aces in my book.

All in all, even though I didn't make a purchase that day, I CAN say that this place will be on my list for shopping. I highly suggest anyone in the area looking for a place you can go to just as you are and be helped out in the best possible way, check out Orangeclubwear.

They're located in Westminster, only a hop, skip and jump from the Westminster Mall near Bosah Ave. Directions and hours of operation are posted on their site. When you go there, ask for Izberk...if he hasn't already greeted you. :)

As some of you already know, there are a pair of pumps I've been wanting ever since they came out, which are the Bordello Teez...a 5 3/4" high heel plat with mary jane straps...to die for, imo. Well I got up the nerve to purchase thee babies, and not because of the price as I have seen them at many sites and their price was a little steep. I took a a chance and emailed my friend at Orangeclubwear this past Sunday. He told me to give him the model numbers and he'd see if he had them in stock. Here is where things went my way.

I went to Pleaser's website, found the shoes I wanted and even downloaded a pic to make sure he got it right. While I was there, I even requested a pair of the Domina 2000 boots...knee high stretch black patent with 6" inch heels. In a matter of a couple of emails, Orangeclubwear had them ordered AND i would have them the next day! Fortunately, living only 15 minutes from the store, i opted to stop by after work to pick them up.

I got the buyers discount, which allowed me to get both pairs for under $50 each!!! I stopped by to find the owner and his wife packaging up boxes upon boxes of shoes...it was shipping day. lol Anyone with a serious shoe fetish would have been in heaven...I know i was. i paid for the shoes, sat and chatted with the owner for a while as he told me about his expansion and remodeling going on but all in all, another enjoyable experience.

To have the benefit of conversing with the owner through email to request what I want EXACTLY, to have what I ordered ready the next day AND have some great customer service to boots, you can't beat these folks.

Free domestic shipping, they will ship worldwide, they have a HUGE inventory on hand, either in their warehouse or in their store (both are close to each other here in CA) and two of the nicest folks willing to go out of their way to satisfy the customer, you can't beat them! Whether you buy online or in the store, the experience will be a good one...but I highly recommend that if you are in the OC, stop by Orangeclubwear and ask for Daghan. :)

Oh yeah, I'll post pics just as soon as I get used to these highly sexy and incredibly high heels and boots. :)

Please note that we would really appreciate it if people didnt use the galleries here to post "ONLY" pictures of their feet, and any such pictures of just feet only will be removed.
The same also applies to unsuitable pictures such as CD/TV/Naked exposing themselves etc etc...

To Tech...I am wondering what this message means about only posting pics of feet and how they will be removed? There are plenty of other members who post pics of their feet/shoes without showing the rest of them, is that so wrong? Why am I being targeted here and why would you make a claim like that without looking through my whole gallery...there are a couple pics of me...ALL of me. I am a little self-conscious about the way I look in pics, hence the absence of many shots of the whole me.

I feel a little confused and offended by this remark...unless of course, I am also being targeted because of my lifestyle.

Once again, somebody blowing things out of proportion. What on earth is there to be offended about? Why are you so sensitive over something so un-important?

We just dont want galleries full of pictures of feet, thats all, it makes for really crappy galleries. Why should I personally pay for the dedicated server, and all the bandwidth, so people can fill up the galleries with some of the most boring pictures around?

Nobody is targeting YOU, unless of course your doing things that you feel are "wrong" and that others might target you for?

Would you want to see your family photo album full of pictures from the knee down, and not be able to tell even who was a man/woman? Well, newsflash, neither do we...

Why is it always such a freaking fight with you guys here just to keep our friendly community on-topic, and keep it interesting, without getting accused of BS like this every time we make an adjustment or shuffle things around a little.... The slightest rock of the boat any all the spineless whiners get their soap boxes out and start with these stupid accusations...

"Why did this get moved, why did this get deleted, who edited my post, why did I get banned, why did I get an infraction, why are you guys bullying me / targeting me"

Holy crap, trust me, we have FAR better things to be doing than babysitting and hand holding a bunch of guys who struggle with life's basics, so if we really have to explain it to you, then maybe we are on totally different pages and you might be better off "not being offended" elsewhere.

Oh, and why are others galleries not deleted....

We dont get paid to work here, and often hope members can be mature enough to see where others have slipped up and avoid the same slip-up's, but sadly, this is NEVER the case.

So you see, the half hour I've had to waste dealing with you, leaves no time to go tidy up more galliers or do something else productive. If your so self conscious about your pictures, then why on earth do you dress up as a terrible TV and photograph it then stick it on the internet? No wonder your so self conscious, those pictures are very un-flattering, and are also completely off-topic for this website too. Your not the first, and wont be the last to have galleries wiped, so dont take any of it personally...
