Rep Power: 4 ![]() | If you are female, would seeing a guy getting a pedi with coloured nail polsh look strange, or make you feel uneasy? If you are male, do you get this done? I tried a few salons in my area and they all declined to give me a pedi and ploish. |

Rep Power: 10 ![]() | I can't speak for the UK, but in the US it doesn't appear to be a big deal. I had a couple of pedicures without any question at all, although I had clear polish. I've seen posts in here about guys and pedicures that didn't have any problems either. I'm sorry to hear that someone could be so narrow-minded as to refuse service to you. Think of it as their loss not yours. Good luck at finding a cooperative salon. It is sad that there are so many narrow-minded bigots in this world.

Here in western Canada it is not a problem, do it often and no issues, not even with other women at the counter while checking in and out. Was made to feel welcome and comfortable with women and men around. Mtnsofheels |

I'm a Guy
Rep Power: 1 ![]() | I've had no problems getting pedicures, as well as manicures. The 2 salons that I've used were both surprised that a man was coming for a manicure & pedicure, but they had no problem doing it. I usually have clear nail polish put on, but I have been asked if I wanted coloured nail polish. |

Rep Power: 105 ![]() | Fanovheels! Most foot doctors (podiatrists) have a list of nail salons they recommend to their patients as part of the medical treatment and nail maintenance of their feet. Why not ask your local doctor for a recommendation and begin going to them just to get a pedicure....applying colored polish can come after a few visits, when they get to know you.

Rep Power: 8 ![]() | Have had many manicures usually with clear polish, never had aproblem. I have also been asked if I wanted a colour, I declined because I didn't want my nails to be that obvious but they certainly didn't seem like they would have been bothered if I had said yes. |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Have had pedicures at two different salons. Neither seemed to be concerned that I was male nor requested coloured polish be applied. However, at both I was ushered into a separate room away from other customers. I assumed they may believe their female clients might object and take their custom elsewhere. |
