The heel is 4" high (100 mm), no platform and they are extremely comfortable to wear.
The leather is very soft. I love them

I think flap down looks better.

And call me the first to say I don't believe this is your last pair of boots. It's only mid-March; I have to think you'll find at least another pair with a great "end of season" discounted price.

Here is the black pair of riding boots that I had bought a while ago but didn't have pictures for; Bandolino Castalina, 2" heel, black leather with side buckle detail. I wear these like this whenever possible.

Also finally got some better pictures of my Diba tan leather knee high boots with a 4" blade stacked heel.

I cannot wear nice hh boots tomorrow: They are forecasting 4" of snow tonight !
(Last week the snow was gone with nice temperature around 60°F)
And they forecast temperature below freezing on Friday...
