Default Heel Height Limit

This is a post is aimed at the podiatric experts in this group but obviously any experiences are welcome.
Having regetfully started late in life wearing high heels I wonder just how far I could extent my heel height expeience and if its possible.

Currentley Age: 47, Size: 42-43, Comfort at 9.5 cm, Ankle limits at 12cm

Are there any exercises or techniques to improve this hieght or is this my lot?

Hello jagman,

I´m wearing hh since about 20years, and i would say: exercise, exercise and exercise! :D

A few years ago, I had broken my right ankle , and now I´m able to wear shoes with max. 4,5"-heel (10,5-11cm) :( . Before I had this accident, I could wear 5,5"-heels (~14cm) without any problems.

Well, I'm no expert. But there are exercises you can do. Obviously, the more you wear heels, the more you'll build up what you can comfortably wear for any given period of time.

You can also get foot benders, which increase the arch of your foot, which will allow you to wear higher, and possibly smaller size heels.

An example of such a thing would be:

They're a kind of fetish short of thing though.

I agree that it takes much practice. I of course have been doing it since the age of 4 (I also recently turned 47).

My feeling is that 9.5 cm (I assume without platform) is quite good already. That is just under 4 inches, slightly less than my own "comfort" height of 4 1/2 inches. However it is still higher than the heels worn by most women in common everyday situations.

Some of my boots and court shoes have 6 inch heels. Unfortunately I cannot walk around for very long in them without developing a pain somewhere. Merely standing in them for about an hour causes painful spasms in my arches and calves.

I do like extremely high heels and I am tremendously aroused by wearing them. However I usually reserve them for period of inactivity, watching TV or sitting at my desk, or taking them to bed (I sleep very soundly when I wear them).
