Rep Power: 27 ![]() | Jeff - Punxsutawney Phil's Groundhog Day 2010 prediction was six more weeks of winter, as he did see his shadow. I don't know how good Philly is at removing snow, or where they go with it (Cincinnati just plows the street and leaves the snow where it piles up) but your gonna run out of food and have to go out. Stiletto heels on thigh boots aren’t bad in snow, in fact the heel gives a nice grip, but are dangerous on ice because, even if the heels grips, the sole still slides around and puts a great strain on the heel to the extent of breaking it off. When you do go out, have some paper towels with you so you can wipe the slush off your boots especially if there is salt in the mix. And don’t forget to wipe off the heels. We haven’t had as much snow as you have gotten but I did go out this morning (4:30) and shoveled the walk and put down some salt. I did it wearing the same thigh boots you have with the 4” stiletto heel. The temperature was around 30F (-1C) so I didn’t have to deal with much ice. I was wearing black hose, a black leather skirt, black leather jacket, and my boots, and I was very warm. The only people that saw me were a few motorists and the snow plow driver and, even though they were going slowly, I don’t think they really noticed. Wearing thigh boots in deep snow is fun. ![]() “PITCHERS AND CATCHERS REPORT NEXT WEDNESDAY!!” I’m starting to understand you attraction to football and baseball… You wear stilettos, so its only natural you would like sports where the players also wear spikes.

Rep Power: 45 ![]() | 2/28/2010: Wow! Hard to believe my last jaunt was wa-a-a-a-a-a-ay back on January 9th! My, how time flies when you're having fun! Between life getting in the way and two major snowstorms that buried Philly this month, outings have been far and few inbetween, but I rectified that situation today: http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...eatthigh-2.jpg http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r...eatthigh-3.jpg Today's outfit consisted of my favorite black leather jacket over a sweater I got for Christmas over a black turtleneck, my tight gray jeans and the Pleaser Legend 8868 thigh high boots along with a new handbag I bought in late December. The more I wear the Pleaser boots, the more I realize just how much fun it is to wear them, not to mention how great they look on me, especially when paired with the jeans. Before the weather warms and spring arrives (which can't happen soon enough for me after all the snow we've gotten), I'm definitely going to see what I can do about wearing them on more outings. And while I didn't need to bring the handbag since I wore jeans, I've come to enjoy using one on my jaunts instead of stuffing everything into the pockets. Meanwhile, as for today's jaunt, I headed out to the western 'burbs, namely Springfield for the first time since January 9th. Stop number one was at Borders to see what was new on the bookshelves. The usual click-clack of my heels in the parking lot of the strip mall was sort of emphasized by the crunch of rock salt underfoot as I headed for the door, I couldn't help grinning as it felt so darn good to be wearing heels again in public. Once inside, I picked up several Mac magazines, bought some iced tea and retreated to the lounge area to enjoy my beverage and my reading material, which I did for nearly an hour and a half. During that time, I did get an odd glance here and there, might have had something to do with the boots or the fact I had my legs crossed like a woman most of the time. However, I didn't have anyone come up to me the whole time to offer compliments or ask questions or anything like that. A pity since I always look forward to chatting with bystanders about my attire, and I find the to be good fun as well. Stop number two around 1 p.m. was down the road to another strip mall and lunch at Subway. The store was mostly empty, only a few people there, and no one gave me so much as the time of day, while that was kinda okay, again, I hoped for conversation. My last stop of the day was to Best Buy, my second home where I spent almost an hour wandering the aisles looking for new Blu-Ray discs to buy and ogling at all the latest and greatest gadgets, and while I got a fair share of odd looks and glances and a frown here and there, no one engaged me the whole time I was in the store. Even after a month and a half away from my little adventures, it felt quite natural for me to both wear thigh high boots AND carry a handbag, being perched and walking on four inch spike heels felt as normal to me as wearing sneakers do to everyone else, and I openly exhibited the casual demeanor I felt. A great feeling. Hopefully, I won't have to wait another month or longer for my next jaunt. But, you never know, especially with the NCAA men's hoops tournament next month. Heh!
