Opps I mean by Pre-1945 military style like variations of civil war, victorian, and WWII like jackets and such.

Recently, I bought a few lots at an auction that included a Spanish-American War (1900) navy uniform and some WWII US Army stuff (Fighting 57th) I think. However, all of the stuff was WAYYYYYY too small for me. I love all of it, but at 6'2" 220, there weren't many guys my size pre-1945 in fighting shape I suppose.

I do wear a US Navy surplus pea coat, but it is fairly modern. Great topic.

I still have my dress uniform from when I was in the service in the late 50's. I doubt that I could fit into it now as I was quite a bit thinner back then. I was a member of the 9th Transportation Batallion First Infantry Division commonally known as The Big Red One. You had to be first in everything. Marriage has a habit of filling you out over the years.
Cheers---

Happyfeat:-)

I served with some real characters, but you are right, I never served wth Lee Marvin. I really liked the movies that he made though.
