My Mood: Rep Power: 0 | Re: Why permanent high heeled feet? Hi Chris:
I guess it does seem unusual for anyone to have the desire to wear very high heels all the time, but I think it is wonderful to HAVE to wear them to be able to walk. Of course this only happens after you have worn extreme heels for a very long time, without stretching or changing into lower heels.
After a time, your heel tendons and leg muscles become "set" in the high heel position, and it then becomes very uncomfortable to wear lower heels. If you try to "come-down" too quickly, you might even pull or pop a tendon, which can cause serious problems.
I do not like to participate in sports, or outside activities, so wearing extreme heels all the time is just something I enjoy. I enjoy the restriction they impose upon me and I like the way they look and the way they cause me to have to walk. They are not for everyone, I admit, but for those of us who love extreme heels, they are very exciting and become even mor so when I know that I must wear them to be able to walk.

I can understand the wanting to wear heels all the time, and I can even understand wanting to wear extreme ones. There's a pair of boots with seven inch heels that I've been lusting after for a while now. Generally I wear heels between four and five inches, because that's where most mainstream shops stop and I usually prefer fashion heels to fetish. However I do have a pair of six inch heels that I can barely totter in. I too enjoy the restriction, the way I have to walk in them et al.
It's the permanence thing I really can't understand. If you enjoy it, great and I hope you continue to do so, however I just can't get my head round the idea of what to me seems like becoming voluntarily disabled. Are there not long-term risks?
Like I said, I'm not knocking it, just can't get my head around it.

For me, a physically limited lifestyle isn't the best. I'm very independent by nature and I prefer doing things by myself instead of needing people to do them for me. Also, aside from perhaps a very small tattoo, I wouldn't do anything that could potentially alter my body long-term. Piercings can be removed, tattoos can be covered, but permanent heeling requires a long-term lifestyle change that I personally can't accommodate. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Why permanent high heeled feet? I think high heels look great on women. As I guy I have no interest in wearing them myself. The concept of a woman being permanently heeled has a certain degree of attraction to me as a fantasy concept, but I would think that it would be very restricting in real life. Certainly there are very legitimate health concerns associated with the ensuing restrictions on mobility. But people will do as they wish. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Why permanent high heeled feet? Just to follow up on my previous post: I think the permanance thing is a definite turn on. I guess that is partly why I have tattoos. The difference is that I can cover up my tattoos (they are all on my torso) whereas permanent high heels are more of a serious commitment. Again, each to his own. Do many of you people collect tattoos, or is that a completely different subset of fetishists? |

My Mood: Rep Power: 0 | Re: Why permanent high heeled feet? On two other threads I commented that my life and lifestyle is worlds away from what is typically depicted on these forums and websites. I'm not finding fault, it's simply a statement of fact. The topic of this thread has been discussed endlessly for years and will likely continue to do so. Everyone seems to have their own take on it. That's fine, to each their own. I won't begin to pretend to be an expert on anything or anyone, "except" myself. And, I am an expert on myself.
Nine years ago I made the worst mistake of my life. I stumbled onto Jenny's website while she was still putting it together. We traded a few e-mails and I made the decision to share my lifestyle in heels with the readers of her website. I can't turn back time and I will regret that decision forever. My lifestyle doesn't fit the criteria for a woman set forth by the high heel experts and they told me so in no uncertain terms. For years I tried to defend myself and argued with them, but I won't do that anymore. I simply use the attitudes and the behavior as a teaching aid.
In reading through all the posts on this thread the thoughts, concerns, and descriptions are seemingly quite true and legitimate, for the lifestyles described. Again, I'm not questioning or finding fault with anyone's personal preferences. But there is a very different side and answer to the "Why permanent high heeled feet".
There are realities and from the posts there are varying ideas surrounding "permanent" and the degree of "permanent". For me, the "permanent" was/is the anticipated result of another personal endeavor, personal appearance and care. For the benefit of the readers who don't know me. I'm a petite woman slightly more then 5' in heels. I wear size 5 (US) shoes and I'm 57 years old. Possibly the best way to emphasize the depth of the personal endeavor I mentioned is to relate to a recent experience. In the early Fall we attended a party on a friends houseboat. During a jovial conversation I made a comment of "us old people" referring to myself. A gentleman standing beside me immediately responded with a curious "old people"! We exchanged polite and additional jovial gestures which tempted my curiousity. I asked him straight away how old he thought I was. Without hesitation he responded with "you can't be much more than 40". Now you know the basis of that personal endeavor. No excessive makeup, no false anything, just me. I strive very hard to take care of myself and to present myself with mannerisms characteristic of what I want perceived.
Those mannerisms included an achieved ability in heels, very high heels. With the help of a ballet teacher and competition ice skater (friends) I learned balance and how to control and position my bodies posture. I learned to use muscles I didn't even know I had. I learned how to sit, learned how to stand, learned how to walk, and learned to move. I learned until it all became natural, nearly a year. During that time my feet became a virtual straight line extension of my lower legs.
There are realities that I've experienced that I haven't seen described anywhere. Starting with my toes, they remain always bent forward at the end of my feet. I learned not to use my toes. Actually that took a lot of effort. I had to break a long time natural instinct. My toes are always relaxed. I don't have hammer toes and they aren't twisted or crooked. They are slightly gathered but no deformities and they are quite small. I can wiggle them but they won't return to a normal position.
I don't have an overly arched instep. The resultant steep pitch of my heel bone is complimented by the ability of my ankles to bend to a significant arc between my feet and lower legs. Today the mobility of my ankles is limited not only by the shortened tendons and muscles but the ankle itself.
I use my entire body all the time. My legs, my thighs, my hips, my back, my shoulders, and even my neck. There are realities. The most common of daily activities often require acquired skills or methods. Squating down, going down steps, etc., any movement or activity that necessitates the lower leg to tilt foward is severely hampered or impossible. ****To make my point. Put on a pair of "high" heels, wrap an ace bandage around your shoes and ankles so they can't move, now go down steps or squat down.**** As an example, if I were to drop something on the floor, keeping my knees straight I bend forward at my hips keeping my back properly positioned with my upper torso bent toward the floor so I can reach the object. Since the head is one of the heaviest parts of the body, this motion puts incredible strain on the neck. Let me refer you back to the first two sentences of this paragraph.
There are a number of other things I wanted to touch on but I need to end this for now.
This isn't a fetish to me, it's very much a life style. While there's certainly a host of things I can't do because of the heels, I'm in no way dependent or a criple. I've simply learned to do things diffenently. On another thread there are a couple questions that deserve answers. One of them concerns raising children. I raised three children, I was an at home mom. Never did my endeavor impact the opportunities of my children.

I have read some of your earlier posts when i first joined here , just before you left i think ,what a fab person you are the admiration of some others for you was amazing , you are who you are and can be whoever you want too be , that is your choice, for the narrow minded that seemed to have hounded you ,pity on them for the inability to recognise someones individuality , personally i will look forward to reading your future posts ,
best wishes for the coming year

Rep Power: 27 | Re: Why permanent high heeled feet? Thanks Susan, I think you're the first person to reply and actually talk about the practicalities involved, and the effect on your feet and ankles. Most other people seem to have made the decision to become permanently heeled as part of a fetish. While I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with this, it does seem to be a bit extreme.
On the occasions that you do need to remove your shoes, showering for example, do you just stand on tiptoe? Also, if you're watching TV in the evening say, do you kick off your shoes and put them back on if you want to nip to the kitchen? Sorry if it's too personal a question, I am purely interested from a practical point of view.

thanks for the detailed comment you posted today. I'm sorry you had the grief you had. I"m just glad you came back to share. I've wanted to learn more about how it is you do what you do. Reminds me of my French teacher in High School. She was always in 6 inch and we've had extensive chats about her heeling. she loves it. dressed up days, she was a bit over 6 inch heels.. casual days, she was a bit under 6 inch, but not by much.
she's explained how she's dealt with raising kids, and how her body adapts to what she does. She was a model of elegance and she was real sweet and left a long lasting impression of sophistication meets down to earth!.
I look forward to reading more about your life in heels, should you care to share. as you clearly mentioned, it's a choice you made and learned to live wiht that choice so you're not limited in anyway. just like my teacher wasn't limited (and man.. could she move about and do all things she set her mind to). i think it takes great character to achieve great things and discipline to do these great things well.
I wish you a great and joyous new year.. happy heeling!!!!
