i had another very amusing adventure with my old art school buddy yesterday. of course when ever she calls me i go. and when i go, i make sure i'm wearing something that's going to get her all fired up! i haven't seen her since our last visit in early june, a definite blast and extremely amusing time, she will not let me forget that she watched me step on that frog and says it was no accident!
i chuckle every time i hear this from her.
late in the afternoon yesterday we took a drive out of the city. i wore my simple blue jeans, a white t shirt and my white 7.5's from pierre silber. my toe nails were painted nicely and i've been tanned from a summer outdoors. i enjoyed the way she looked me over top to bottom when we met.
we drove out of the city with no particular place to go, just driving and chatting. we came across a small pottery barn and she said she wanted to stop and take a look. so we pulled over and went in. it was full of the usual plates and bowls and home made pottery things, which my friend is seriously interested, she wants to try her hand at pottery. they started talking shop, the old lady who owned the place and my friend, about the clay and the firing and the old lady offered to show us the kiln.
the kiln turned out to be in a small building behind the barn, which was being used by cattle! the old lady said watch out for their leavings as she led us out to the shed where the kiln was. my friend was following me and i just knew she was watching. this barn yard was littered with big round cow patties and i just couldn't resist so as we were walking and listening to the old lady in the lead, i casually stepped right in the center of one of these big round cow patties. splat! i looked down and saw my white platform sinking into it and squishing it out in all directions. a big huge gob was stuck between my platform and spike heel but it eventually fell off. i looked at my friend, she looked up at me and snorted!
on the way back out i made sure i stepped in another one with my other shoe.
the old lady offered some paper towels to wipe them off when we got back to her shop, i didn't go back in though. my friend offered to wipe my shoes clean so i sat on the hood of the car and lifted each shoe up for her to wipe. what a blast!
we continued our drive and around 8 p.m. started making our way back to the city via a backroad we always go down, just east of the city. there is a bridge back there next to the via rail tracks and we always pull over there.
we got out to enjoy the summer evening and i was glad we did because it gave me an opportunity to have a lot more fun. there was one big dead frog out there on the pavement with its guts splattered. we walked up to it and she looked down at it. i said let me put it out of its misery and placed my 7.5 inch spike heel right on top of its head. she freaked! i said what's the problem? its already dead.
after we were there for a few minutes she decided she wanted to take a picture, i offered to get her camera for her and walked back to the car. i turned around and saw her leaning on the guard rails watching me so i smiled and kept walking and made darn sure my right platform came right down on that dead frog. i watched as my platform came down on it and saw its legs sticking out from underneath my shoe.
i got her camera and walked back watching her, and she was watching me! i just had to step on that dead thing again and made sure my left platform came down on it. by this time it was seriously crushed and mangled. it stuck to the bottom of my platform for a moment before coming unglued and landing on the pavement in two pieces.
she watched all of this and said i was bad.
i said who cares, its dead anyway. no one is going to make a big deal over a dead frog on the highway.
later she said its blood was splattered on my white platforms.
i dropped her off without anymore incident, her parting words were: you make me so jealous.
i got home and took my shoes off, they really were a mess! |
