Ballet shoes /boots

Hi. I am thinking of getting a pair of ballet shoes, something like this http://www.devab.us/catalog/Ballet-08%20group.jpg.

I have routed around the forum and am looking for a wearing guide. Don't want to break my shoes (much more important

) or feet. :P

Any advice? Which is the best sort to start off with? I can do high heels but never worn ballet before.

I'd go for a pair of ankle boots for starters. You will find that unless you are very gifted like Pata, you will need some ankle support. I would also suggest something that you can lace yourself into for foot support. You need to look for some toe pads as well. There's plenty of info kicking around the forum.
