Rep Power: 9 | Ballet boots in Camden, North London A few very lucky people got a treat on Saturday afternoon, when I did a shoot in Camden lock and the Stables Market in Camden. I chose the location because Camden is a place where you expect to see the unexpected.
The girl I was photographing wanted a challenge and jumped at the opportunity to show off her skills in ballet boots in public. It was something that hasn't been done before in this country. Public reaction, particularly from the women was surprisingly favourable, although many were admiring her waistline, which was nicely constrained by an 18" corset (fully closed I will add). The belt was once a fire extinguisher retainer, which gives you an idea of how small it is.
I've done a small youtube video to go with this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YC0vR66qstk
Hope you enjoy.

The young lady looks sexy in your photos and video and look like she's having fun. I am not a big fan of ballet heels and boots, but she does wear them well and I can understand all of the attention she received. Thank you for sharing the pictures and video with us.

Thanks for sharing.

I'm glad to see the vid shows stairs being used without too many issues, as alot of people still think stairs in ballet boots are impossible, not true, just have to be carefull.
Congrats again, maybe you two will start a trend :) |

Why this kind of things doesn't happen here in "the boot-shaped country"?
PS: I can't download the high-quality version from youtube, could you please upload that version to some web hosting service?

They are hard to traverse either up or down in HH as most of us here know, and HH wearers look ungainly when attempting it.
I know the venue well. It's a busy place, and the sound of building work can be heard in the background. I'm pleasantly surprised the model was able to be photographed without too many others in the frame.
Hopefully there's some video going up with the model walking along the canal on a flat surface? I'm sure it will look much more elegant.
I don't know how it's been done, but Richy is one lucky person to get such opportunities. [Though I expect luck actually equates to hard work in fact.] .... |

Rep Power: 9 | Re: Ballet boots in Camden, North London We did stop the building work for a short while. Not by asking, but you know what builders are like when they see a pretty woman walking by.
No other video this time, but I'm going to do another shoot with Lady_Onna some time and I'm sure that we can arrange something. We were joking on the way back that she should put her cat on a lead and take it for a walk in the nearby park in the same outfit.
I managed to keep people out of frame, mainly because they were too busy admiring her. Nobody wanted to move. I do have one shot of her in the market which shows a large crowd of people directly behind her, all looking our way.
It was a great fun shoot, although nerve wracking because you don't know how people will react.
What I would love to do next is a photo shoot of her walking into a shoeshop in ballet boots. Taking them off to try on a few pairs of shoes and probably buying a pair, then walking out of the shop with her new shoes but wearing her ballets. It would be great to see the face of the sales assistant. |
