Where in the uk is the best place to buy 6inch stilettoes in the larger size please. Black Patent fine heel.

I'm going to London next week and want to get a pair of stilettos from a shop. I've always wanted to do this but never had the nerve. Well, as I expect to be a long time dead, I thought I'd better get on and do the things I want. So, can anyone recommend a shoe shop where I'm likely to get a "decent" reception when I ask to try on a pair of 4" strappy sandals?! Thanks for all tips in advance

In my experience any shop in Oxford Street will be fine. In fact any experienced shop assistant will have seen it all before.
