Default New show on TV...

hi there, check out this info, about this new tv show...

ATLANTA, Aug. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- TBS, television network, is giving 11 macho men the opportunity to walk a mile in women's shoes when they are given a complete feminine makeover in thenew original reality series HE'S A LADY.
The show, hosted by Tony Frassrand (House Detective), comes to TBS
from Evolution Film & Tape, Inc. (Switched!, Bands Reunited), with
Douglas Ross (Bug Juice, TBS's The Mansion) and Tom Campbell (Boy
Meets Boy) serving as executive producers and Tom Colamaria
(Temptation Island) serving as supervising
producer.
Production is currently underway on HE'S A LADY, which is
set to premiere on TBS on October 12 and will air Tuesday nights.

HE'S A LADY opens as 11 macho men temporarily leave behind their
wives and girlfriends for a chance to win a quarter of $1 million
dollars. The guys think they're going to be on a show called All
American Man, competing in grueling physical challenges. But the catch
is, the guys will actually be
transformed and given the chance to see what life is like as a lady,
with one man winning a huge cash prize in the end.
Each week, the competitors will learn something new about what it's
like to live as a lady, from dealing with bras and jewelry to bonding
with real women in typically all-female activities. They will be
judged by a celebrity panel of judges: Morgan Fairchild (The
Seduction), John Salley (The Best Damn Sports Show Period) and Debbie Matenopoulos (Good Day Live).
Weekly challenges for the competitors will include learning how to
behave like a lady, followed by going out in public to find out how
convincing they are; being trained how to be a supermodel; planning a
real wedding and then being asked to serve as the bridesmaids; and,
finally, completing a multi- tasking challenge back in their hometowns where the guys must remain in character in front of family and friends.

During theirhilarious and heartwarming quest, the competitors will live in "The Doll House," a beautifully decorated dwelling designed to help them
get in touch with their feminine sides.
The series will climax with a beauty pageant, where the competition
boils down to the quarter-million-dollar question: "What, as a lady,
have you learned about being a man?" The judges will then select the
best man in the group, based on a variety of criteria.

Wow!!!! exciting isn't it????

Default tv show

HI

They did somthing like this over here, we watched the first one and thought it was pooply made, seemed to us to be more about the hosts crap jokes than about the guys.

I think the called it 'men in skirts' or somthing like that

I hope they make it better over in your part of the world. If it was better I might have watched it to see how they got on wearing heels, always good for a laugh!

There's a series over here called "Faking It" where someone has to fake it in an area unknown to them. As an example one episode was a classical musician faking it as a rock singer. Anyway, one of them was a rugby player faking it as a drag queen.

He was staying with his mentor for the show, who took him to a gay bar on his first night to try and ease him into it. He was obviously very uncomfortable and quite homophobic, and the first tine he tried wearing women's clothes he hated it. As the show progressed though the barriers started to come down. The first sign was when they were out choosing a dress for him. He'd been non-committal about all the ones suggested, and idly looking around when he pointed and said "I like that one!"

Anyway, the upshot was that in the space of the four weeks he went from a closed minded homophobe, to a convincing drag queen. He also became good friends with the guys mentoring him. Sadly there was not much footage (no pun intended!) of him trying to come to terms with heels, but they did start him off at the deep end with a pair of stiletto courts.

There was a show similar to that broadcast on American TV about a year ago. Three or four guys transformed into women over a period of several months. All of the physical stuff (dressing, make-up, mannerisms, voice, ect.) and psychological counselling. As a final test, each of the guys had to go out and get a job working as a woman. A very interesting program. When it was all over, they all had a enormous increaed awareness of problems women faced in their every day life and, by and large, it completely changed the way they thought about, appreciated and treated women.

The down side to this event was that one of the guys became psychologically confused and couldn't decide if he wanted to return to being a man again. Really messed up his mind (not that he might want to change his sex, but that he was so dispondent, confused and depressed....he was in danger of completely breaking down.)

If you're really interested, these posts might still be available if you search this site for them.
