Womens short shorts: Anyone wear these in public?

I have only mens short. But i am looking into getting some womens shorts. I was wondering if any other men wear womens shorts. I always thought that wearing womens short shorts ( 3 1/2 inseam) in public would look somehow not quite right.
Now I do not like the current trend of mens shorts that hang down to the knee or lower. In my mind, those are capri pants, not shorts. Shorts should be just like their namesake, short!

I was thinking of getting some with ONLY front pockets, & others with No pockets. Anyone else?

I have on occasion worn (men's) rugby shorts with very short inseams, even though I was not doing anything especially athletic. I didn't feel awkward about it at all.

I've not worn women's shorts at all. I haven't seen very many styles that especially interest me but that of course may change.

I have. Always with pantyhose though. If you do it, make sure your legs are shaved!

OK, i broke down & got me some womens 3 inch inseam shorts, the short shorts....after checking some of my mens shorts, i was surprized to discover that some of them also have 3 inch inseams.....so now i go into womens stores & ask if they have any shorts, 3 inch inseam or less, with 4% spandex or more in them & have No back pockets......i also tell the salesgirls that the shorts are for me. When i mentioned that i dislike mens shorts due to the fact that they are knee length & look like mens capris, i always get a laugh from the salesgirl. Its so much fun!

The outfit you present in your pic seems to be all male except for the panty-hose which makes your shaven legs look pretty good. When you go out in public like this, doesn't anyone question your wearing panty-hose? Do you ever wear any other female articles of clothing in public? Incidentally, I'm not into pick-up trucks, but yours seems to be pretty cool.

I will and do wear dresses, skirts, and boot-cut jeans in public, but never shorts. I do shave my legs and wear panty-hose daily. Cheers---

That outfit is pretty typical to what I wear every day. I do wear skirts from time to time, and love high heels. And for the record, that pic is all male attire, since I am wearing Comfilons.

I've been wearing "female" garments as a male for many, many years now. Shorts and hose every day to work when it's warm. I sometimes get a comment, it is usually, "Wow, you've got great legs!" People really don't care what others are wearing, from my experience anyway.

Thanks for the heads-up on your all male attire in the pic you posted. You do have very nice looking legs. What kind of work are you involved in? The people you work with seem to know that you wear comfilon's and panty-hose and they don't seem to mind from the comments you have received. Cheers---

I am the director of operations for a small (40 employee) manufacturing company in Michigan. As long as I do my job well, people don't care what I am wearing. My confidence is high and my legs are comfy!

mmm...i'd rather skirts than shorts....but for some people it's hard to go out wearing a skirt...
i'd gone cycling out with some hot-pants-shorts... :)
it really feels great!!!!
