Seannie is my nephew and has been living with me for the past 3 months.

He came to me troubled and withdrawn. For the life of me I could not break through . . . 'till I caught him in my clothes (See 'Love Without End, Amen under 'Stories'). I assured him that I wasn't angry and I didn't think he was weird . . . and that I still loved him.

We talked and FINALLY had a breakthrough. That afternoon Seannie & I went to a psychologist/psychiatrist with whom I have worked. Several hours later we left. Seannie had so many issues & questions.

He has been in thearpy and works at a local teenhouse with transgendered kids.

Recently, Seannie has decided that he wants to spend this summer as a girl. After many talks with parents, counselors and friends, Seannie will spend this summer as requested.

That's great!

To do that will have one of two effects, either he will want to go for gender reasignment, or he will figure out that being a girl is not such a big deal and that if he can dress up as often and when he likes it will cease to be so important to him.

When I was in the Air Force, I used to dress up at every opportunity but when I went to college where I could dress up at will (and did on several occassions) I found that it wasn't worth the effort and to this day I rarely dress up. In fact the last time was several years ago!

I think that you are aware by now that I have a soft spot in my heart for Seannie and I am happy to read that he is attending a TeenHouse for transgendered kids. Like Dr. Shoe said---this summer will help him to decide which way his future will take him. I'm sure being in with other teens like himself will ease his burden just knowing that he certainly is not alone. THis should make it a lot easier to cope with his problems. Is he staying with you or is he staying at the TeenHouse? This may very well be his best summer ever and I hope he enjoys it to the fullest. Once again, he has my support. Cheers---

Seannie has been living "En Femme" for about a week now. It's more work than he thought it would be but he is following through.

I'm very happy to see that Seannie has had the "sticktuitiveness" so far in dressing enfemme every day even though it may be more work than he might have thought in the beginning. Cheers---

Perhaps the effort will outweigh the pleasure of dressing all the time and he will become happier just dressing on occassion like I do.

On the other hand, he may decide that it is the lifestyle he wants. Either way this will be good therapy for him, please wish him all the best from me.

you said '... he ... works with transgendered kids ...' - did that trigger all his desires and wishes or does he work there because he feels that way? How old is he if I may ask? - And why the therapy? If I was him and it would be more 'normal' to me to live a female way than a male one, undergoing a therapy would have made me feel like I'm sick and the way I feel needs to be 'cured' - like curing a disease. Or am I just that bad at English that I just didn't get the point? Hm...

BTW, what does " Namaste' " mean?

Seannie is a Junior in High School.

He came to me very troubled last year (See "Love Without End. Amen" in "Stories" section).

Rainbow House is a resource/Help center for transgendered children. Seannie does volunteer work there.

Seannie is attempting to answer questions on his transgenderism with help & therapy. It's going well!

"Namaste'" means from the spirit in me to the spirit in you. . .

Seannie is still living "En Femme' " 24/7. Nothing earthshaking has happened but he IS showing signs of fatigue. "This is more work than I thought it would be!". No kiddin'!
