Rep Power: 12 | Now we know that most people posting on this list like wearing high heels, and nobody has admitted to being "Gay or something", how many here would consider themselves to be cross dressers and would you consider wearing heels to be cross dressing?

Rep Power: 15 | As we already talked it over during our heel meets, technically we should be considered x-dressers but to me acceptable heels, pants and a turtle neck polo do not fall into this category, whereever in the (department) store you found them.

My Mood: Rep Power: 7 | I am sitting here in a red, white, blue long sleeve polo shirt, a 17" red mini skirt, black pantyhose, 3.5" heel pumps.
I do not consider my self any more of a crossdresser than any women, in jeans, oxford loafers, cotton shirt.
The term crossdresser should be sent to the scrap heap with a lot of other garbage.
Origanlly the term crossdresser was used to describe women who wanted to wear pants. Women rejected the term, it is time that men learned the difference also.

My Mood: Rep Power: 23 | I agree! The term 'cross-dresser' is about as obsolete as a 286SX computer these days. It needs to be deposited in the nearest dumpster and left.
After all, women borrow from the men's side (a lot) and men borrow from the women't side (not as much, but we're catching up!).
It's clothes, nothing more, nothing less.

Rep Power: 8 | how do you define "crossdressing" - men dressing up wiht a desire to look like a woman because they want to "pretend" (for whatever reason) that they are women, or guys who like certain styles in clothing, foootwear, etc just because it is their own personal taste and they have no intentions to look ot imitate women (but that might anyway be the ways society regards them, but that's another story...) ?? |

My Mood: Rep Power: 19 | Crossdressing has nothing to do with clothes really. It's about trying to fit into and briefly experience the gender role of the opposite sex. |

Rep Power: 15 | Sorry Troldeg, I don't agree, experiencing the other gender is not what I'm doing it for. I just prefer the way certain clothes FEEL compared to the rough textures and certain physical limitations of men's clothing. With more of the male population getting desk jobs I don't know why the clothing industry keeps on choosing strong resistent rough materials for men. They should realise they can increase their turnover by producing lighter stuff that wears quicker. There is no need for producing stiff itchy stuff when there are smooth soft alternates unless you are in the BDSM fetish class and enjoy this kind of torture all day. Call me a sissy, but my skin also enjoys soft fabrics.

| Bingo! I just wish American culture was a little more open-minded enough to "let" a man wear a skirt or dress in public.
I wonder when the fashion industry will catch on to the concept that: soft fabric=good and circulation=good. |
