Shortguy I agree, women's trouser pockets, where provided, are not to be used to hold anything. Completely ruins the look. Sounds like you are going out en-femme today, so a purse/bag is de rigeure.
When I started wearing ladies trousers to compliment my footwear purely becuse the leg cuff is bigger and so hangs on a heeled shoe better, I realised I had to sort out how to carry round all the junk that normally went into my pockets. So a man-bag came into my life, courtesy of my wife. It was a small messenger styled bag. Once I moved all my stuff into that, I realised just how much weight was in my trousers! Instant benefit was I no longer got a pain in my waist caused by the trouser waist band pulling on my hip bone. Have stepped up to a bigger bag that is totally unisex. Nice leather, and has the right sort of capacity. So now I use a bag every day, regardless of what I am wearing because I really do hate having all that rubbish in my pockets.
I am so grateful that the so called Man Bag has become a part of male attire that it can be used without a thought. I will never be without it now. The bigget benefit is that your clothes do not get ruined by weight pulling them out of shape and they look as they were designed to look.
The biggest problem is guarding it in busy circumstances 'cos now you are just as much of a target for a bag snatch as ladies are.
Yes, I too would be interested to know who has been converted to using a bag/purse. If you haven't yet done, then I would highly recommend you give it a try. Mine if from
Texier and is something like this, although with a buckle detail for the closure. Beautiful soft leater.
Simon.
