Such a perplexing problem! Since you are going en femme, time to start shopping for handbags. There are so many cute styles, so many choices, you will find that like shoes, purses are fun to shop for and the choices are endless. Find a style you like and go for it!!

Hi Thighboots2.

Please forgive me Thighboots2 for giving you the assumption that my question was aimed at guys in a guy mood.
I a born a guy but I always have felt like a girl, so yes I´m in a girls mood.

Being short and thin, yes I have a female looking body. My body looking like a time glass, thin waist line and a bit wider hips.
Me, I always hearing people said about me; "You´re looking like a girl", "You´re a bit girlish" and yes they were right. Not only did my body had a bit of a girlish/female look to it. I felt like a girl too.
So about a year ago I started live and dress as a girl. Suddenly all started feeling ok. This is me.

Please Thghboots 2 you can read a bit longere pressentation on me under the tread "Anyone else feeling half man half woman"

As things are right now for me I feel great. Being transgender I can finelly be the person I always felt I was.
Feeling I`m 80% a girl/woman 20% a boy/man.

Take care
Bye

Shortguy,

No I take my hat off to you as you are being exactly who you want to be. That is not easy in our society that is so quick to judge a person harshly.

I read the posting you refer too and very interesting it is too.

Actually it is all my fault as I should have taken note of the section under which this post is located. (Note to self - pay attention to detail)

Be happy.

Simon.

I have been carrying one for several years depending on where I go. (Too many small minded people in some places areound here.) I too have noticed the pocket situation but I had already switched over to carrying the bag before I discovered the problem. I carry a minuriture back pack style in BRIGHT YELLOW therfor it matches nothing which means it matches everything as I have been told. It was originally intened to hold a handheld video game system and all its accompaning stuff but works well as a purse. One large pocket that just holds my sunglasses, phone, pen, check book, and lip balm/lipstick. a smaller one that only holds a traditional man's wallet and another smaller divided one that holds two sets of keys and a rosery very nicly.
Never had anyone say anything about it not even my homophobic parents and siblings!

I have kicked around the idea of incorporating a handbag with my outfits. But with what I wear, I think it might be even a little more confusing. AsI has said in many posts, I enjoy going out in men's suits and feminine high heels. Some have thought that was a confusing contrast, but I'm comfortable with it and most feedback is positive. But adding a matching handbag to the look could either give the impression of unisex, which isn't all that bad, or efeminite or even gay, which I'm not trying to portray. After reading the posts and comments of others, I'll give it some thought.

I acquired one of those Buxton bags a while back, and have been using it religiously ever since. It looks ambiguous enough, and if anyone has a problem with it, tough.

I like to think they're too busy checking out my heels and nails to notice. *grin*

I've seen the commercials for those Buxton bags, and yeah, they do look nice, and appear to be plenty effective as well. If I ever screw up the nerve to wear a skirt in public one day, I'll need something to put my stuff in, and that bag might well fill the prescription. Thanks for the heads up!

I usually have a shoulder bag when "en femme" but i find it a bit of a hassle. It has a tendency to slip off the shoulder. Probably the greatest advantage of blokes' clothes is decent pockets.

I wear my bag like the postmen do it- with a strap across the chest. Unless I'm going to ride my bike or photograph some abandoned factories, where a bag would be totally useless, it's a very practical way.
