Rep Power: 7 | Re: Unexpected Activites while in heels I've cycled before, in 5.5" heels. The soles don't exactly grip the pedals, so standing up, or doing extreme stuff is out. If the heel gets stuck, you better un-stuck them fast, too. Plus, because you usually roll up your pant legs (if you're wearing pants) while biking, it's really obvious to others what you're wearing. Can't hide behind wide pants or whatever.
I figure if you use clips on your pedals, or if you attach those SPD clips onto your shoes if you have SPD pedals, you can get better grip. I had neither.
I can't seem to think of anything else I've done...

I suggest wearing boots when cycling. I’ve worn knee high with a 2” block and thigh boots with a 4” stiletto while riding a touring bike (I’m too old for the hot shot stuff). Wear the boots over jeans and you don’t have to worry about the chain. Pointed toes fit right in the toe clips.

My Mood: Rep Power: 5 | Re: Unexpected Activites while in heels washed my car in heels.... apart from fear of water damage.... it was great as it give me more height for washing the roof, and it's a great feeling bending over wearing heels and the best thing is that when there are people walking by, you can always hide behind the other side of the car.... (even though a few times i'm sure they noticed as i had to walked quickly out of sight).... :) |

As u say, washing the top of the car, no probs, not needing the ladder so much, aerating the lawn, changing lightbulbs, and a buzz from it too....

Rep Power: 5 | Re: Unexpected Activites while in heels I change a drywall that was broken in my house, wearing thighhigh 6 in red boots with a 1 inch platform. a miniskirt very thight and a pair of nylons,
it was really fun and exhausting, but could complete the mission perfectly after a long long day, in the middle of the operation I felt pain because of the heels but I put a goal on myself if I could finnish that all i could do anythins else.
At the end it was just a fun day and very productive. |
