It won't work for me. I keep pressing the "manage attachments" button and it won't do anything.

Couldn't we make it so you can't see the images if you're not logged in ? I don't think I'm the only one who would prefer this.

I have looked everywhere and this simply doesnt have any settings for doing that so I'm going to have to hack the code some more to accomodate this.

It wont be for a while though as I have some major issues elsewhere to deal with for the next week or two...

I will do my best to ensure I take care of it though....

Sure it does. In the options for each usergroup, you can set "Can download attachments" to "Yes/No". Just set the "unregistered" to "no".

Been there, done that many days ago.....

I have a horrible feeling this may just be another bug imported from the old forum, as there are several things that dont work 100%, that work properly on other forums where no import was done from an out of date PHPbb forum...

Richie,

Just a few minutes ago, I embedded a picture of Joss Stone in Boots. Before I could submit my post, I lost my internet connection. When I went back to HHplace, I could not "upload" the same picture again. And I could find no way to attach to it? where so there pics go? Can we or you access them once they have been Uploaded?

Thank You

Gary0618

Gary

Go to your User CP, then scroll to the bottom and click "Attachements"
The rest should be obvious.....?

Wow, looks pretty unanimous so far....

500+ views yet only 23 votes with 1 opting for the far more akward setup and 22 opting for the easy option of image attachments...?

Well, the beauty of attachments is that members dont accidentally break there post's if they change/delete images from their image hosting accounts, and thus not leaving a mess behind in a thread of pictures dissapear..

So, for the sake of everybody who gets annoyed when that all important image you wanted to see, suddenly vanishes, how about we switch off the image linking in posts?

This will then only allow images to be attached to posts to ensure they dont get messed up when the image hosting companies go bust/go down/user accidentally deletes things....

Of course, requests for deletions are always honoured and can be done by any of the team at anytime, but it would be nice to have more threads where a great thread is ruined by the original image vanishing, leaving everybody guessing what it was all about....

Any more thoughts/votes? Anybody?
