Hi Smitty
To be honesty, this problem only seems to happen with members who dont actually read the rules, or there emails it seems....
If you use the "Todays posts" or receive notifications by email of subscribed threads/forums, it does tell you which forum the message has been posted in, and we did send out a mass email to ALL members as a reminder of the updated rules on the website.
All new members also get a welcome email telling them in big letters that GUYS are not allowed to post in the girls forum.
If people actually just took a minute to slow down and have a read of whats going on then this wouldnt happen.
When we bring it to a members attention why there post was deleted, the most common reply was simply that they didnt read the rules or that they just scanned there email quickly to find the login details.
So it seems no matter how many warnings you put in place, some people only read the parts they want to read and nothing else.
(I'm not making any accusations, I'm just stating what I have been told from members who have apologised after we have explained why we deleted there posts)
Its human nature though, and I'm sure we have all done it at some point somewhere in life, we just scan for the important bits and think "i'll check the rest later"
A common comparison might be when you rent a car, lots of people miss the small print that says you must bring the car back with a full tank of fuel as they just want to get in the car and go...
The company or website staff then get it in the neck from the customer/user for not telling them....
Oh well, like I said, we've all done it, thats human nature I guess
