I'm about to get promoted to the 3.5in ankle boots... but they look horrible! i'd much rather stay in these nice wedges! Can we change the 200-300 posts avatar to something more attractive?

Sorry, but no... If we would change the rank pictures everytime someone requests it because they don't like their next rank we would constantly be doing that and there wouldn't be much constancy in rank-pics anymore.

600+ people like 600+ different shoe-pics you now.. :-)

Also I agree the avatars are UGLY, with the possible exception of the 500+ one.

Any change would be an improvement I would say. But that's just my opinion.

I thought the wedges were ok, along with the sandals, slingbacks, and 5in spikes. Don't like the others though... perhaps they all need revamping?

There are always going to be a style or look that doesn't appeal to someone, but we can't keep changing the ranking pictures just because you don't happen to like them. We did this once and it just started snowballing into everyone wanting something in particular.
This isn't practical. So the short answer is NO! Hate to put it bluntly, but that's how it is!
The only saving grace you get is by posting enough (and we don't mean just adding little comments all the time or repeat postings and blaming the system) and getting to the mega status setting and being able to specify your rank picture.
Two members have reached this goal, so there's nowhere left for them  but for the rest of us, it's post away until we get there too :)
Revamping the pictures sometimes is a good idea, but then we'll keep getting the "I hate my rank picture" comments again from someone else.

Come on guys, 1500 posts isn't that many, and you can have your own picture. I'm sorry some of you don't like the current ones, but tastes are so broad it's not possible to please everyone on that score :(

Haha! :) That's easy for you to say! Mind you, I've come a long way in two weeks... to the tune of about 150. I may well get there by the summer! In which case I'll want some sandals! :)

Keep posting, your aviator changes by the number of messages you post. I think the first "promotion" is at 25. It's the moderators way of encouraging postings.

Also, if you go to your profile, you can link it a personal aviator (like mine). It has to be on a site though that is accessable by everyone. This link will explain how to upload pics to the web that you can post here. Good luck!

Welcome aboard!

Scotty

I think the problem could be that yahoo doesn't let you link to the pic from here. Try using a different picture hosting site such as http://www.imagehost.org/
