I have taken some pics of my heels and would like to post them. I want to upload the pic from my disk and do not have an http server that I can link to. Is there a method of uploading pics so that I can display the pic in my post to a forum?

Yeah, in your control panel.

Upload your pic to a hosting site - photobucket.com is free but requires signup. imageshack.us doesn't require signup. Copy and paste the image's URL into the Avatar box on your control panel.

From the guidelines relating to your avatar: "Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 163 pixels, the height no greater than 110 pixels, and the file size no more than 7 KB."

<-- I think mine's 110 x 110, so that's the size you get.

Yeh,

You can see that having an oversized picture knocks the format of the forum out, Personally I prefer the pictures to follow the guidlines (not set by me) as they make sence and are there for a reason.
