Hi Tali

On this board, if you choose to watch a topic you get an email to tell you there is a reply.

To be honest this is not a very good feature for this kind of higher traffic board. With 1000's of members and 100's of postings in just a couple of days, you could be getting a lot of emails!

If you sign up with a bogus email then, of course, they will be sent into the ether

However, the best method is to us the "view posts since your last visit feature". Here, you can selectively catch up with active topics.

yep,

I would have to agree with Firefox. this seems to be the best way to keep an eye on what is happening.

Nigel.

Hi Taliheels & everybody else reading :-)

I just wanted to offer an update on this now that things have changed.

If you check in your profile / User CP then go to "Edit Options" from the left hand menu and scroll down to the "Default Thread Subscription Mode"

If you have selected anything other than "Do not subscribe", then your subscribed threads will all appear on the main page of your User CP once logged in.

The other options allow you to specify how often you receive email updates on all of those threads.

Most people prefer 1 email per day, called the "Daily digest" or no emails and just catch up on the thread updates from the main User CP

Hope this helps now that were on the new forum.
