[Query] Changing my email address

are members allowed to change email address in our profile?

so my next question will be. how?

ive done these things;
1) clicked on profile
2) changed my email address in the field
3) clicked submit

than i got a message. saying that the it dosn't match the database.

i should have been more careful with which email i use

Read again

The message refers to the password. You must reenter your current password to confirm the email address change.

One may also put in a non existant email. I'd advise a genuine one (eg hotmail) so the server can send you your password if you forget it.

Me again offering an update for all members on the website.

To update your email address in your profile, click on (User CP) in the top left of the screen then go to " Edit Email & Password" from the left hand menu.

Then on the email/password screen you MUST put in your current password, otherwise your updated information will not be accepted.

Once you have put in your current password you can then change any of the details listed such as your email address or password.

You should NOT use a false/fake email address because if you do then you will not be able to log back in if you lose your password, and username changes cant be done.
