Default Tech question. re vid clips.

I've seen the thread on the posting of avi files from movies and agree it's not a good idea, but..

Can anyone make a suggestion on the best way to make available non copyrighted eg home made videos to the site members. The format would be windows media player which most people have.

And while I'm at it, does anyone know a way to convert .asf movie files into .mov (quicktime) files. Quicktime allows you to cut and paste segments out of a movie which WMP or realplayer doesn't

Default

You can cut, paste, join (basically edit) ASF,WMV and WMA files using the FREE utility called AsfTools found at http://www.geocities.com/myasftools

No need to convert to MOV just to be able to edit...
