Default Problems with Jenny's High Stiletto Heels Site

Knowing that there is a strong tie-up between these MegaForums and Jenny's High Stiletto Heels site, can the administrators/webmasters tell us whether Jenny's site is sufferering temporary or more permanent problems? It became unobtainable for 48 hours about 3 or 4 weeks ago. Then it went off-line again for about six days between about 9th and 14th July, and now it has disappeared again for almost a week! I have been able to get into Jenny's message-board forum by the devious means of punching-in the URL of that particular page:

http://members3.boardhost.com/jennyheels/?982958163

but I cannot get the entire site, and all the messages have dried-up on that message board and also on Jenny's making-friends message-board too, as if the site is withering and dying. I hope this will NOT be the case because it's one of my favourite four sites on the entire Internet.

I tried posting messages to Jenny's administrator Pheels on both of those message-boards asking regarding the situation, but he has not replied. Can the Administrator of this site help please?

Respectfully yours, Heelsfan.

Dear Moderators/Administrators/Webmasters,

I am most disappointed that no-one amongst your good selves has yet replied to my above posting. Jenny's full site is/was maybe the most important high heel site and inspiration on the entire net, but apart from the her two message-board pages (still findable if your know URL as posted above), Jenny's great site seems now to have become totally unobtainable and maybe even permanently defunct!!!!

When I search for "Jenny's High Stiletto Heels" Google gives me three domain names, all of which used to get the site, but now, the results are as follows:

http://internetdump.com/users/jenny ... answer: THIS PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED

http://internetdump.com/users/jenny/home.htm ....answer: THIS PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED

http://come.to/high-heels .......... now gets 'THE HIGH HEEL MEETING PLACE (the WRONG site!).

This is all absolutely tragic! All I've been told by anyone 'In the know' is Firefox saying the site is run by Pheels, but I tried putting postings to him on both of Jenny's forum message-board without getting any reply.

Laurieheels posted a vague assurance that "Jenny's Site is being worked-on" but without telling us who was working on it or how long it would take.

Not only for my benefit, but for everybody's, can someone please tell us all any more about what is going on, and maybe who we should contact?

Cheers, Heelfan

Jenny's site was the source of many members of this community and th reason why I became involved with the internet shoe related sites, but this forum is hosted seperately by our friend Jeff in the NL and has no connection with the original page except as I've said many members of this community got together at Jenny's boards.

The come.to address seems to have been redirected here possibly to enable people to continue their shoe related websurfing rather than get a 404 error.

We can only hope Jenny's site will re-emerge somewhere but we don't have any control over that. If you could email pheels or Jenny, you might get a more definitive answer.

Thanks Firefox for keeping us a little better appraised of the situation.

Cheerfully yours, Heelfan

OK, so I am not one of the moderators at hhplace.org. But reading about your distress, I can tell you this: I have emailed Phil, with a cc to Jenny herself, on July 27. So far no reply.

One possible explanation for Phil's silence could be, that he is away on holiday. It is after all the season for that in Europe. Another possible explanation is, that he is just way too busy with work to be able to travel from where he lives to the country where his server is physically located.

One possible explanation for Jenny's silnce could be, that I have been put on her black list. But seriously: the fact that http://come.to/high-heels redirects you to http://www.hhplace.org is a sign, that Jenny is aware of the problem, since (as far as I know) she is the only one that has the password to change where http://come.to/high-heels points to.

As an aside: you should also be able to see the following text message on your screen, before you are taken to hhplace.org:

"Due to hosting difficulties you are being transferred to the famous hhplace.org where you can still link to my site when up, and various other boards and resources. We hope to be back up soon."

And finally: the old links to Jenny's website at nettrash.com / internetdump.com still work - just tested it myself with my usual venerable browser.

And now back to the usual program.

Thank you very much Tom! It is very kind of you to take the trouble to reply in such a thorough manner - it has been most informative.

I am pleased that somebody like you is taking an interest and trying to do something about it. I think it would be a tragedy if Jenny's site were to vanish completely because it is so special. The section on 'How to Wear High Heels' must be a big inspiration to beginners, and her galleries, stories and all the other sections (as well as the ongoing forums) are almost irreplaceable!

Thank you once more, and I hope Jenny's site can be nursed back to full health again.

Cheerfully yours, Heelfan

Heelfan;

All three links work for me.

The first link takes me to Jenny's old content-warning page for her old High Stiletto Heels page. If you click on YES, then you are sent to the old Jenny's High Stiletto Heels page, the same page as the second link.

The second link takes me to the old Jenny's High Stiletto Heels page, bypassing the old content-warning page.

And the third link takes me to this forum's home page.

Thank you very much PJ for that posting. I tried the first two and they now work for Jenny's old site! They didn't the other day, so perhaps the link is somewhat intermittant.

As you say, the third one is currently (and I hope temporarily) getting this forum, whereas it is supposed to get Jenny's current Forum. I do hope Pheels (and/or anyone else involved) can get it up and running again soon!

Cheerfully yours, Heelfan.

When I joined this forum, I was under the impression it had a connection with Jenny's High Stiletto Heels site. And although people here talk about Jenny and her infamous web site, I don't recall ever seeing a post in here from her.

Why Jenny or PHeels have not posted any information here as to why Jenny's infamous web site is off-line is anybody's guess. But I get a feeling that the reasons are not good.

If I had a very popular web site that was offline for some reason, I would notify all of my online friends about the problem along with a prognosis of when it might return online.

Will we ever know the reasons? I don't know. All I do know is that I miss the new site. At least we have the old site to visit.

Sound logic, PJ. That is, of course, if the webmaster/mistress hasn't "burned out" and lost interest. What I would have done, if this is the case, was to have found another technically competent individual that was interested in keeping the site updated and alive, which I did, by the way. Someone like WarSprit or Postcode who was willing to host the website on their server and keep it up to date.
