Yes, PJ and Bunna, I agree with you two, having run such an important and precious site to countless high heel enthusiasts, it would be SO much nicer if Jenny and/or Pheels could at least manage the odd teensy weensy posting from time to time, if only to keep us informed.

The worst thing is just the NOT KNOWING. Also I've noticed that there are a whole collection of names (such as Patience, Puffer etc.) who were enthusiastically posting on Jenny's Forum and who have just stopped dead. This must be because they only had the one main "Come to ..." URL for Jenny's new site, and when this foundered they all probably think that the Forum has simply vanished/gone/dead. It's all very sad.

The peculiar thing is that Jenny's OLD site is still running and must still be on a server run by Jenny or Pheels. If either of them is still keeping that going, why can't they at least let let us know what is (or isn't!) going on with Jenny's new site.

Surely one or two of the senior people on Megaforums (Jeff or Firefox for instance) must have some sort of contact with Jenny or Pheels and must know a bit more than we do??? Can they help at all???

From a worried and fretting Heelfan

You fear that some posters on Jenny's forum can no longer go there, because they don't have the direct URL for it. A few weeks ago I have emailed Pierre from the well known website PGTS to add it to his list of links. Unfortunately Pierre seems rather busy at the moment (an announced possible update on july 15 seems not to have happened), so it might take a while before the link is added.

What you call "Jenny's old site" is run on a server from a company that provides free webspace, much like many other websites are run on a free server from geocities.com . That is not a computer they control. When Jenny signed up with them, she was issued a password to upload her site on that computer, and remotely update it. But that was already some years ago, and I doubt she still remembers that it exists (I even wonder if she still remembers the password for it), after the transition to Phil's server (which she indicated on the opening screen of her old website).

As far as I know, Jenny has lost all interest in being associated with her website - hence the lack of updates, and signs of her presence (she hasn't registered here at hhplace.org). Phil is very busy with work, and has posted only a few times here in the past (you can find his posting history yourself - user Pheels).

So far also no reaction from either one of them about the current problem of reaching Jenny's website. So it starts to look like this is the end (I hope it is not!) :( :( :(

Default oh dear

i must say this is all starting to sound incredibly worrying. especially the fact that jenny's lost all interest in her website: how sad! her site was the jewel in the crown but i've heard all these conflicting stories about what happened to the site and whether its returning. oh well. at least i've got jenny's old site to keep me occupied.

I wanted to show several photographer friends of mine Skymaster's pics recently. That was the first time I found out that Jenny's site was down. Her site only place on the net that has Sky's pictures. I been waiting since then for Jenny's site to come back online or Sky to have his work transferred to another site.

Thanks to Tom, Heelfan and other people who have taken an interest in this, or helped us with the project.

Like many of you, Laurie and I feel that this site should be permanently reinstated and we intend to do this with Jenny' permission on paid webhosting where it be relatively seure for future generations to browse for free. To offset this we will be having a small membership section to pay for the webhosting.

We've started getting it back online already. You can link to http://come.to/high-heels once more and get the old useful major links page to the site and other places. There's also a message about our future aspirations for a permanent home will be happening soon.
