Default Help adding picture to user profile
I know this is a Q which is asked all the time. I have had a lot of problems trying to add a picture to my username. I posted a picture to the following URL:

I cannot however attach this to my user profile. Anyone able to help?

For some reason it doesn't like pictures hosted at that site in profiles. Try hosting them on another server.

I have encountered similar posting problems with images stored on Microsoft and Yahoo servers. I don't know why.

Hmmm, maybe your problem is caused by the fact the dimensions of your pic are wrong.

From the Avatar control panel in your profile:

Displays a small graphic image below your details in posts. Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 100 pixels, a height no greater than 150 pixels and a file size no more than 10kB.
Not sure though, I'm not at home right now so I can't test it.

Thanks for your advice - I made sure the dimensions were perfect. There should be no reason why this doesn't work. Any ideas anyone?

The problem seems to be fixed now. There was a little bug in the url-matching code that didn't allow filenames like: <somenumber>.gif
