Question on using attached images.

On several posts I wanted to include an image that I had used on a previous post. The system will not allow me to upload a file with the same name.

How can I reference a previously attached image?

Could you limit inserted imaged to imaged from the hhplace server?

When posting previously used images, our system does allow you to refer to already uploaded images.

I've attached an image from my PC here... and i'll use it again inthe next post.

Now, to show a link to a previously uploaded image, go to your UserCP, scroll all the way to the bottom, and click "Attachments"

There you can see all your uploaded files, and the URL's for them.

So, I can now use this link: Tux to re-use the same image over and over again.

"html" isnt an image. ??

Oh the image tags. Those have been switched off, due to far too many post's being ruined where pictures have been removed from the members image hosting accounts (And they forget the images are linked here) or the image hosting place has closed.

The other downside to that was it slowed the page loading times down too much, waiting for the images to load from another website, or members would go nuts posting 10/20+ pictures in one post..

So, you can either use a simple text link, to link to an image, or just attach the image to your post.

Havent I mentioned all this stuff already in this thread

Ah, the img tag on/off switch paints with a broad brush. I was hoping it would still allow images from the hhplace server.

Sorry, I've no idea what you mean by any of this?

This is the hhplace server, and images can be stored here now and used in any post's, so I dont quite understand your message
