those fashion companies and in some cases shops are GREEDY. for me it is a big joke paying 1K for a pair of pumps. it makes no sense. it makes only sense for big companies so the average people have to finance their big promo machinery and in some cases only the upper class should wear the high-priced fashion shoes.

the heel is a standard heel used on many shoes before, nice upper and platform. So where is the sense to pay so much for this shoe ?

Actually, you'll be surprised. I once made a single boot at college for a project in Calgary Leather and we calculated that the leather for that single boot (not a pair) was almost £200, it took 5 square feet of leather. Taking into account my time and other otherheads I would have broken even at £1000 for a pair of boots if I'd been making them commercially, and that's without any serious profit..
However, it is true to say that by and large they don't charge what the shoes are worth, they charge what they can get.
