This looks like a
carrier issue?
I've a fair amount of experience of these, having shipped goods around most of the World. [Africa, Australia, USA, and all parts Europe both inside/outside the EU.]
Addressing the package correctly is important. Paying for the service that provides the information you want, is also important if delivery is critical.
Un-tracked goods can be shipped much more cheaply than 'tracked' goods. The carriers can be a problem even with 'tracked'.
I recently paid a lot of money to have DHL ship some goods here from Germany. I didn't book the carrier, the sender did. When the package arrived [which weighed all of 400g] it showed signs of impact damage. The goods were worth about £1000. The two "clowns" at the Boreham Wood reception denied there was impact damage, suggesting the crushed corner of the box was dispatched in that condition. They told me there was no-one there I could complain to. My choices were to take the goods in the condition they were received, or send them back to Germany. The latter wasn't a viable option....
I'd suggest removing a source of what looks like interesting shoes due to the performance of a carrier, isn't the most beneficial course of action for you? Maybe next time pay for a better quality service, or if there is a choice, try another carrier?
I'd certainly recommend UPS over DHL and TNT.
