no, funny, but when ever I am in sidmouth I look out for the women in the pics, just in case.

It looks like it is a business run from home as there is only a postal address as they dont seem to have much stock, it is all bought in per order.

Judging from the pictures of the "Court" shoes in the catalog, it looks like this company is just another outlet for LSB shoes. If you compare the pictures of the shoes and style numbers, they are identical to those listed in the old Little Shoe Box catalog. This website even has the same look as the old LSB website.

I always assumed they were a reseller of Leatherworks // Imagine stuff.

Hmmm. Maybe I have faulty recollections.

I have emailed them several times and never gotten any answers... That's why I'm wondering. They also claim to offer 6" heels for smaller sizes. Made me curious.

Hi there to you all, let me answer some of your questions, I am the owner of Skyscrapers and have been so for the last 14 years, we used to trade under the name of Special Occasions, we found the new name more fitting for what we sell. Yes we used to get all our footwear made by the Little Shoe Box until it closed down in June 2006, great shame as they produced fabulous footwear, I bought at the time alot of stock that they had left over. Like most retailers we have had to move elsewhere and now use Leatherworks in London not as good as LSB but very close indeed and getting better all the time and like us they carry very little stock everything is made to order. In answer to one of the questions yes we do now make shoes boots with 6" heels they never used to but have bought alot of the lasts from the LSB so they are now able to offer this heel height. As regards the address in Sidmouth this is purely a Post Office holding address where orders are processed and sent to Leatherworks for orders to be made and dispatched, the female on the site modelling the footwear is paid from an agency in the Midlands. Hope this has answered all your queries and thanks for showing an interest in skyscrapers.

Hi there I am the owner of Skyscrapers, I was sorry to read that you have mailed us on numerous occasions and never had a reply, I find this very odd as one of my members of staff will always reply with 48 hours of recieving an e mail.

Aha! So *that*'s where the stock (and the lasts) went!

As an aside, it's always good to see a response from the proprietor of a shop that's mentioned on here. We tend to get the buyer's view - valuable, since most of the people here are buyers, but we tend only to post very positive or very negative experiences with shops and miss out the mass of perfectly reasonable experiences in the middle.
