I got into a discussion with Steve Pateman - who's the MD there - and he would be more than happy to open up the factory for a group of heel-interested people sometime. Tour the factory, see how the footwear is made, maybe discuss styles & designs, perhaps pick up a few new pairs of shoes & boots while there ... Their website is www.loveisdivine.co.uk. They're based just outside Northampton. btw, apart from being a satisfied customer, I've no other connection with the place! Just thought it might be an interesting expedition sometime. I'll also post this under the "trips & shopping" topic H |

My Mood:  Rep Power: 22 | just outside Wellingborough in Earl's Barton would be more accurate, but outside Northampton will do. I know of Steve through friends of friends and he was quite friendly and even boasted that he made shoes like I was wearing and better. His wife confirmed this while his son just looked at me as though I was weird. I wasn't wearing anything over the top. just 4.25" black ankle boots :) Steve has been toying with the idea of different styles and heights for a while now, so maybe a group of us together might be the kickstart he needs. I live 9 miles away from their factory, so a useful meeting point for those who have been my way before, while the railway station or Swansgate Centre in Wellingborough would prove good as a meeting point there from where we can descend on Earl's Barton. best make sure we have a few cars available depending on numbers as the buses to Earl's Barton are not that reliable. |

I guess it'd be during the week, so I'll take a day off for that one! Wow - I saw the program, and I remember thinking I'd love to do that.
