i bought This Pair in a US size 13, uk size 10/11

they arrived 3 - 6 weeks later....looking like they were barely thrown together....tryed one on...didnt fit....the other did (barely) i stood up in it and the heel almost gave way.....

they are "custom mules" and for £70 i expected ALOT better.... especially for a company that had such a good reputation on this board....

K512H is the model

my experience will mean that i will not only never buy from them again but i will not be promoting there quality or craftsmanship...and infact anyone i know who has thought about going through them i have shown them the emails and the 2 pictures that i had of them....

again, anyone who hasnt had a bad experience with them and have their own opinion on this company...it is exactally that your opinion, this is mine...

Thank goodness I'm not the only person to have problems with this supplier. I've found them impossible to deal with - one mistake after another, continually. Incorrect models, incorrect sizes, incorrect material, incorrect colours ... well - you get the idea.

For the first part of 2007 I have placed orders with them in excess of 1,000 sterling.

On the 6th June I placed an order for their custom footwear which of course we all know is not theirs but Leatherworks! After continuous delays, the wonderful Sharon repeatedly gave excuses as to why there was no sign of delivery. For example: 1. these are custom made to order and will take 4 - 6 weeks to make; 2. I've been on holiday; 3. Leatherworks have been on holiday; 4. Rotherham has been flooded, etc etc. 31st August and STILL no delivery or delivery date. Amazing really as I placed an order directly with Leatherworks for another pairs of shoes - delivery within 4 weeks. A Member of my website placed an order from Finland, received delivery and forwarded the shoes from Finland to Spain within a 5 week period.

I wrote to Leatherworks enquiring about my order directly - despite me placing the order with bananashoes AND PAYING FOR MY ORDER on the 6th June, they failed to place any order with Leatherworks for over 3 weeks.

They advertise footwear on their website which is not in stock. However they never notify you of this fact or suggest an alternative, they simply leave you waiting resulting in delivery delays amounting to many weeks. I placed an order for boots as shown in their online "catalogue" specifying a certain trim (also advertised) - weeks later I received the correct model WITHOUT the trim. Sent these back requesting that they supply the boots ordered. Once again weeks have gone by with no delivery.

Eventually I have received a reply to my many unanswered emails stating that they have thousands of satisfied customers and, as I am not one of them, to take my business elsewhere.

With customer relations at this level I'm amazed that they are able to survive in this business.

The majority of their range is simply resale of American shoes. They DO NOT have these in stock furthermore they delay sending an order request to the USA. If you want shoes or boots within a reasonable time, do yourself a favour - find an alternative supplier to bananashoes.com

I have to agree with most of the comments here...

I placed an order for some boots and got an email from sharon at the end of the followig business day saying they would be posted within 2 days.

I wasnt impressed that sharon was going to take 2+ days just to post them..

Needless to say that when they turned up, the sizing was well off...
I ordered a 10, (1 size bigger than my 9 feet) and what turned up could not have been a size 7 despite being labelled as a 9

Needless to say they went straight back...
That has happened with quite a few orders from them so I dont bother ordering from them at all ever again, its not worth the hassle.

I have a feeling that bananashoes get's the "leftovers" from Leatherworks. I ordered a pair of leatherworks oxfords through bananashoes, and the first pair was in good quality, but too small (since Leatherworks shoes run very small, no fault on Bananashoes on this matter). I sent them back requesting a size up, and the shoes I got back were better sized (but a bit large) but not the same quality. The original pair had leather lining and a tan sole, the pair I got in exchange had fake leather lining (sweaty!) and black soles. I felt like some kind of "scrap" pair.
