Default Review of 6 Inch Heels Forever Order

My order, placed on August 24, 2004 came in today....a little over the 4-6 week turnaround promise....but they did keep in contact with me, so I have no complaints as to the time, especially since they are custom shoes.

I ordered the 5.51 inch slingbacks with bows (black with white bow) and the dark blue V 14 5.51 inch heels.

Problems:

1.

The heartbreaking thing about the order is that the size is WAYY off. I wear a US Size 8. According to the chart on the 6 inch heels forever site, a US Size 8 is comparable to a China Standard 39.5. As I had never purchased a China standard size, I assumed this chart would be close.
It turns out that the shoes are at least two sizes two big. I can put two fingers between my heel and the back if the shoe.

I have never had problems with shoe sizes on European sizing (usually a 38 ...which is what I guess I should have ordered.

2.

The leather is just not the high quality I expected from shoes costing $150. a piece. It has a very cheap looking appearance. In my orders to Veronicas (Switzerland) and Italian heels (IT), my shoes have always had a first rate appearance and supple leather touch. The heel caps were also very plastic looking and something I would find on a $19 shoe from payless.

I am composing a letter to 6 inch heels now about the sizing to help someone else in the future. I doubt they will be able to do anything.
So much for a $300 investment.

Best of luck to the rest of you.

Hi JenniferH
I am sorry to hear about your missfitting shoes.
It does seem strange when they ask on 6IHF to actually measure your foot, toe to heel and several places across your foot. I dont know how they could have stuffed up your foot size from there, so I would think you have a case for replacement shoes at their expense.

Good luck with them
Jeff

Hi, Jennifer,

Yes, what you say corresponds with my experience. The leather is quite coarse, not at all what you would wish for delicate court shoes, and, come to think of it, the sizing is a bit big. I take Euro size 39 and the China Standard 39.5 seemed OK, based on the length of the foot (as shown in their size table).

I am curious to find out how the shoe manufacturer will deal with this sizing problem and leather quality issue. Please keep us posted.

007,

I truly hope your experience is better and I am crossing my heels for you :) It is a bad thing to wait that long to be dissappointed.

As JeffM suggested, I did send in exact measurements, including measurements at different points on the feet. So, I agree Jeff, there is no excuse for the mis-fit.

JeffM--I owe you a long email on the "outfit" I ordered :) I have not forgotten.

Xa, I agree with your assessment from your original email. You can tell cheaper cowhide leather in a minute, vs italian shoe leather.

Anyway, this thread was truly meant to warn others, not complain. I am sending a long email to them tomorrow, .. Iwill make another posting to this thread about the results.
