Question demonicarts.co.uk

Hi,

Has anyone ordered from www.demonicarts.co.uk? I ordered some Domina 2020 boots by Pleaser and was a bit unnerved by their checkout process - it's either PayPal, bank transfer or cheque.

I used PayPal as I figured it's fairly safe, but I haven't heard anything or eceived my boots in a week.

Thanks.

Spiker.

They have ZERO contact us on there website, no phone numbers, and they dont accept credit/debit cards....

Hmmmm.

Cant get a bank account in their business name? Dont have a merchant account with any bank?

I wouldnt buy a thing from their website just based on those 2 things alone..

If I cant contact you, your not getting my money.

Anybody can setup paypal, and PayPal offer almost no warranty from bad sellers at all, whereas your credit card company do.

If nothing ever arrives and you dont hear form them, dont be too surprised..

Sorry, just an observation based on experience.

Richie,

Hmmm...that's what I thought, but hopefully the PayPal protection will kick in if the worst comes to the worst.

Thanks for your response, I'll keep you updated!

Have you even received any order notification emails from them?
Maybe there is an email address or phone number in those details?

If you paid with PayPal, you should be able to get their contact details from your PayPal account.

Trying to get compensation from paypal is like getting blood from a stone...

Richie,

Yes I have had emails from them, I've chased them today. Despite the dodgy checkout process I do think they're OK. Their website looks very professional and their shop on eBay has good feedback.

Hopefully I won't have to go the PayPal route.

I'll keep you posted.

Hi there

I paid for a pair of boots on 01 December 2007, it showed they were in stock, 100% of the cost was paid via paypal, & then I got an email saying they were out of stock & would be shipped after Xmas.

I'm still waiting for them.

I had a couple of emails updating progress, but dispite chasing them by email virtually everyday in March I haven't been able to get any further responses out of them since February. Have even emailled the owner & his girlfried on on Myspace but no joy. Rather annoying no phone number to ring (the girlfriend Angela gave my daughter a false no via Myspace & won't respond to her either)

Have you received your boots yet?

Jennie,

Thanks for your response. No, I haven't received my boots yet - I was hoping to get them soon but now I'm not so optimistic.

I chased them a couple of weeks ago, and they said they were expecting them in less than two weeks. I chased them yesterday but I haven't got a response back yet.

After Googling the address it seems to be run out of a Leeds housing association house. I did get a possible mobile phone number - 07517 333723. I haven't called it yet.

If I'd been waiting as long as you had, I'd definitely have been on to PayPal by now.

Sorry I can't be more help.

Spiker.

Default Demonicarts.co.uk - take your money

Hi Spiker

I have already logged a complaint with PayPal but they have only logged it as a bad review against Demonicarts, they won't take up my case as I didn't report the none arrival of the boots until more than 45 days from payment day. I have even complained about this, but they have said that they will only act on my complaint if they received more complaints about non delivery.

hope you get you boots shortly , however if you don't get them shortly I suggest u log a complaint with paypal within the 45day limit.

Jennie

Jennie,

Thanks for that - I didn't know about the 45 day limit. I haven't called them yet (a) because I'm not that brave and (b) because they quoted 28 days for delivery, and although it is over 28 days, it's only 31 so far, so I'll give them a few more.

I will definitely log the complaint before 45 days though, and hopefully that will help your complaint as well.
