Hi all, I've got another question for you if you don't mind. I have noticed on pointed toe pumps with leather soles, that the bottom of the pointed toe part wears down very fast. I've seen some pumps that have a little metal piece just under the toe, like a mini-toe tap to protect the soles from wear at that point.

My question is, do shoe repairers sell those metal pieces, or can I find those on the internet? Can I have a repairer put such metal pieces on? Is there a name for them that I can search with, or refer to when speaking to a shoe repairer?
