My Mood: Rep Power: 24 | Heels4men.org - Development Update - Opinions Required Hi all
Currently the new development of heels4men.org is going well...
However as it is a site aimed at its audience I wanted to ask the audience for their opinioon of the site so far.
Layout / color scheme / ease of use / intended content / etc etc
I would really appreciate as much feedback as possible before i start to add all the content so that I can get the website structure spot on without needing to make time consuming changes later on...
There is virtually no content on there at the moment, as I have learned the hard way, to get the design and structure right before piling in with content...
Your opinions will be greatly appreciated... I look forward to all your replies.
Thanks
Richard

My Mood: Rep Power: 45 | Layout and colour scheme are fine.
There's only so much you can do with a webpage. Readable text. A main home page with links down one side or at the top and links shown back or onwards on other pages. You've got all that.
Basically content is king. That's more important than layout which is ore or less standard. For content you need plenty of pictures and interesting text, maybe some videos, polls, links and features. I don't think regular updates are too important for a free site, and there's only so much you can say on this subject. Once you have some good content you can keep it, but just updating with pic of month or a story is fine. How about shopping experiences, going out stories, new pairs, street photos, who's wearing what and where. |

Rep Power: 6 | check out the Content Management System (CMS) called Mambo. if you have a server with php and mySQL installed, there is no better, and eaisier way to set up a website like the one you're making! it's extremely easy to manage, and adding content is done in no time. no php, database or html skills are needed whatsoever!!
adress is www.mamboserver.com |

My Mood: Rep Power: 24 | Hi Zimmy
Managing thew content is not a problem, i do everything throught dreamweaver mx, utilizing fireworks mx for the graphics and logo designs...
Its just the find a friend membership section that i am trying to come up with..
Some sort of registration type thing making it easier for members to email each other without email addresses being displayed on the website...
Need a quick way of doing this... |

My Mood: Rep Power: 24 | I am working on the galleries at the moment, I actually had 4 versions of the same website from last year on my PC's and am currently sorting all of them out which seems to take forever, then i will start posting the galleries...
As usual though, i welcome all feedback and content anybody might wish to send in for the site...
Thanks
