Why is it that clear shoes are associated with strippers and platforms are associated with drag queens? Does anybody else wonder about this or have any insights?

Those associations of types of shoe with types of people are based on your personal sense and, of course, not universally applicable or appropriate. I, and several of my friends, for example, wear clear platforms and we are (and never have been) strippers or drag queens...

I'm guessing that clear shoes are popular in strip clubs, because they'd be easy to see even with the absence of light


The crossdresser/drag queen thing, I have no idea. Sometimes it turns me away from what could be a good pair of shoes - seeing "SEXY 5" HIGH HEEL SHOES CROSSDRESSER DRAG QUEEN SZ 14" can be a bit much at times...
