Lady Elizabeth shoes

Hi,

Has anyone got any Lady Elizabeth shoes? There are some on ebay at the moment and they look quite a bargain, as I would be buying them as a present any advice would be useful, particularly on fit. The lady I'm buying them for is size 4 or 4 1/2 UK but with 4" or 5" heels I'm wondering whether to get size 5 (having said that a 4" heel size 4 fits her very snug!)

I have a pair of 5 1/2" lady Elizabeth stils, which came from a fetish supplier in Cheshire some while ago.

The size is a little generous, so, unless they have changed their lasts over the last 5 years, I would risk buying a size 4.

The leather is good quality for a fetish supplier, and the heel attach is good. If they are a little tight for your g/f, then the leather will stretch if you use a leather stretching compound.

Can anyone explain to me what constitutes a 'Lady Elizabeth' shoe (and if known, how this phrase came about)? It's a new one on me!

As far as I'm concerned it just the name of the company who makes them (at least that's the name inside the shoe in the photo I saw, so I'm making assumptions here).

I've seen Lady Elizabeth shoes in a shop a few years ago. They look well made, and many styles are like those from Hayway; both of whom cater to the TV crowd.

Thanks Wez for explaining that 'Lady Elizabeth' is just the brand-name. There was me thinking it was some new style of shoe I didn't know about (like Mary Janes or D'Orsays or Beatleboots) and it was really as simple as the name inside the shoe! Silly Me! Mystery solved!
