If I have time I'll have a quick look on some of the 'store' sites tomorrow. I expect somewhere like Shoefayre or Shoe Express will have something of interest, but the season is over for most ankle boot styles.

Yes, no1 and no4 are both good, I have thought of wedges before. I have some wedge heel shoes my wife gave to me as she didn't like them, and I wear those out with her, and she even says they look good on me.
Now to see if I can persuade her on the boots

Hope you get them, as they will be a good style to begin public wearing. I think lots of people start with styles like this. They also go with smart trouser or jeans.
