Rep Power: 34 | Selling about 20 pairs About 17 months ago I sprained my ankle something fierce. Since then I have not been able to wear anything above a four inch heel. My ankle won't really take the strain for too long anymore. I sprained my ankle while moving, not because of heels, in case anyone is wondering.
So I have about 20 pairs of heels between four and seven inches in height, I wish to sell them all. $200.
Yes, this includes my black patent seven inch heels, my red patent six and a half inch heels, my 5.5 lace fronts, black patent oxfords, red velevets with ankle straps... so many more. lauirieheels@yahoo.ca is active again, and I am willing so sell all of my shoes to someone in North America, though offers from Calgary and area will receive priority, and I'll even deliver them in person. Anywhere else in Canada or the U.S., we can negotiate shipping.
It's a shame, I remember 2.5 years ago when I was last here, how being busy took me away from here, how my life has changed and how my life as a high heeled goddess flared out with an injury.
I am hoping someone is willing to purchase these bits of hhplace history, and I will put the money into new footwear, probably boots, since I enjoy the ankle support they offer.
So e-mail me, let's work out something. Own a bit of a former high heeled goddess history, or whatever you want to call it. Thank you for reading and have a great day!

Laurie, how about selling individually on Ebay? I think you get more for them, maybe or spread them around if people are interested.

Rep Power: 34 | Re: Selling about 20 pairs Fly, that would require me to, well, actually sign up to sell something on eBay, and then track it, manage it, harass people for payments. That's like, a j-o-b and I have one of those, well, one and a bit of those.
;)
You think I could really get enough interest for what I have? |

Yea so, like a job. It's better setting up and running a yard sale to get rid of stuff. Right? Quote:

I thinking you should be able to, there are enough admirers on the board interested in buying an icon. If you just sell your shoes here you should open a Paypall account at least requires a bank account, it comes in handy. Money orders are a pain to wait for and then clear. But Ebay is really easy to use and weeds out less less than honest people, like using immediate payment required option after the sell.
Maybe adding a simple gimic...How about making a 6X9 photos of you wearing the shoes you are selling to go along with them? I can give you a hand on that since a photo printer and editing software happens just to be standing idle here.
Any way, personally I would hold on to the ones you like the most, get rid of the rest and work on that foot.

My Mood: Rep Power: 9 | Re: Selling about 20 pairs Hi, Laurie. Another fan of yours here to say hello. So you have to give up wearing heels over four inches, at least for awhile. You wore your very high heels quite well, hopefully you will be able to do so again someday in the not too distant future.
As for pictures of you wearing heels as Hoverfly suggested, you could very well sell autographed pictures of you wearing heels and get a bit of the old lolly towards the day when you can wear skyscrapers again. Again, you wore them quite well.
Don't tease us poor mortals by making a short appearance on the board and leaving again!!*bows down to the Goddess*

Rep Power: 34 | Re: Selling about 20 pairs Okay, shoes and boots are all U.S. 10 and 11 for sizes. higher the heel, larger the size, so some of the four and five inch pairs I have to sell are size 10, some of the five and everything above in height are 11.
Secret to wearing shoes with higher heels and maintaining comfort #1 - higher the heel, larger the size. Your toes need room to spread and be comfortable.
As for pictures... *shrug* I'll have to see where I have some stored from before, I have some pictures with many shoes at once, but I don't remember if I sold any of those. Time is limited during my days, lots to do, people to help, and I need to be writing more than three or four pages of novel a week if I ever want to start shopping things around.
However, I shall do what I can to provide pictures of the precious bits and we'll go from there.
I'll need to host them somewhere as well, somewhere that might last for 2.5 years or more ;) |
