I am sure that several people would be interested. |

My Mood: Rep Power: 24 | Re: Black Leather Italian Made Heels Size EUR46 (UK11/12) Hey Barney... I have a question...
why do you put this line into all of your auctions:
"These would be ideal for a CD/TV/TS, Male or lady with larger sized feet."
The very fact that its a pair of shoes in that size means its suitable for anybody with feet that size right? Yet you choose to start with the CD/TV/TS?
If you worded your auctions far more carefully, you may find you have a much better ending price and/or sales rate, because who would want to show off a pair of shoes advertised as "For CD/TV/TS"?
By adding that in to your auction, your creating a mental block for a lot of buyers because they see this stigma around them being suitable for TV's, or a woman might want them but doesnt want to feel like she has to shop in the TV's section...
How about adjusting the wording of ALL your auctions to take this line out completely? |

My Mood: Rep Power: 16 | Re: Black Leather Italian Made Heels Size EUR46 (UK11/12) I think some searchers get into a mind-set that they need to search for something that advertises itself as "TV" or "CD" when they might have more success if they just searched by size or brand or style.... that is then further promoted by advertisers feeling they need to add that to their all descriptions, and it then becomes a hard cycle to break. |

How about adjusting the wording of ALL your auctions to take this line out completely? | You make a good point Richie, I purposely never mention CD etc in the subject part but I mention it in the main body not because 'if they are sized that large they must be for CD/TS' etc but to signify that i dont care who bids for them Male/Female/Straight/Gay whatever- makes no bones to me.
As an experiment i'll amend them for now and see if the numbers of bidders/ watchers increases. I would disagree that such wording stigmatizes people though, if someone likes the shoes enough they'll bid on them regardless.

Good luck with it anyway |

Mrs Heels and Myself have sold over 200 pairs of Heels on Ebay. All were size US womens 11 or 12. Never once have we used the terms TV / CD / Crossdresser, etc. We sold over 95% on the first listing and generally got a very nice price too. Anyone in the above categories know what size they are. Perhaps if you were promoting a Web Site marketed to the TV/CD community, that would be different. But on eBay???

Rep Power: 9 | Re: Black Leather Italian Made Heels Size EUR46 (UK11/12) Well i've removed the wording relating to CD/TV just to see if the level of interest has increased over previous auctions with the wording left in.
In my present experience the difference seems to be negligible at the moment, possibly most of the bids I have had at the moment appear to be female (based on the fact that i have had questions from members who have subsequently put in a bid - all signed with female names) which would hold some water to Richies comment that females might not bid if shoes are directed more towards TV's (although in the past i have had quite a substancial number of female bidders including one very regular customer who has bought about 7 or 8 pairs of shoes from me - so buying shoes labelled at CD/TV shoes was not much of an issue for her as she got nice shoes in her large shoe size that she would have had difficulty getting elsewhere).
If anything else this is turning into an interesting debate. A quick look at the ebay listings for the Size 10-13UK's show quite an number make references relating to male wearers mentioning suitable for TS/TV - so i havent been the only one to fall into this trap. I have seen one particular worrying misconception in that some sellers who sell large sized womens shoes label male heel wearing with being Gay.
ie suitable for fetish, gay interest etc. From what i know many Gay men wear predominantly male attire inc footwear and gender orientation doesnt seem to play any part in thier choice of footwear.
I will let you know if my sales significantly increased when the auctions end by rewording my listings.
BTW 4 more pairs put up for sale tonight including 2 pairs of real leather high heeled boots from Pleaser. :)
