How closely do the descriptions match who you are, Firefox?

For me they were dead-on-nuts right.

Why do people take these tests? I find them extremely limiting, and they try to peg me into a category when I fit two or three in actuality.

The true test of personality is how other people relate to you.

That may be. However most of the people I have encountered (that have taken done this sorter) say the result is accurate.

C'mon, take the plunge! It'll take about 10 minutes TOPS!

OK I'm silly enough to do it! Here's my result:

slightly expressed extrovert
slightly expressed intuitive personality
moderately expressed thinking personality
slightly expressed perceiving personality

Pretty meaningless anyhow. Agree with Laurie.

Nah. I have tried these tests before, with everyone clamouring over the results...

And at most a test has only been 50% correct for me.

Okay, it worked for you, that's great!

However, for some others I have known in the past, they say "oh my that is totally me" but in actuality, it was who they perceived themselves to be, but not exactly whom I would have thought they are.

These tests are far too subjective for my liking.

I took this test, it came up EFNJ. For every point in the description that applied to me, another was the opposite of me.

I exhibit different personality traits at different times. Many cases, the questions asked were problematic. Why? Yes and No did not cover my response. When given an option, say, you solve a problem with facts over emotion, my answer is I use both. Yes and No can't help figure me out.

So I still stand by my original opinion. It takes another's perceptions and interractions to define someone, and everyone can be unique.

No, I do not have MPD.

Yeah I'd agree. I mean everybody seems to be "slightly this" and "moderately that." Hedging their bets a bit aren't they! Like those fortune tellers who say your going to be doing some travelling; who doesn't, even if it's to the loo!?

In my description, some was right and some was wrong. There's this Q which asks do you prefer doing established methods or finding new ones. It depends how I'm feeling and what it is. There's loads of vague Q's like that so how the results can mean anything from a yes or no answer I don't know.

Having said that I'm more intuitive and feeling type of person, but I've got an engineering job and I like maths so work that one out Can't say it wasn't a bit of fun though...
