Not sure if this is the place to ask this but hey.

What is Manchester like in general for wearing heels around? is it ok in certain areas or generally ok. I'm off downt here next weekend and just wondering whether to wear my heels or not.

Generally no problem at all around the city centre - few will even notice. Suburbs... it depends on when and the air of confidence you project, but the worst you'll get is comments. Last Friday (warm evening, plenty of people about) I walked 3/4 mile from hotel to restaurant and back again, along a main(ish) road in Stockport, with some friends, in a skirt and sandals. I got some wolf-whistles from some lads in a pub yard, and a number of stares, but nothing more.
