Is Dire Straits rock? (The DO rock I know but are they?)

Personally i'm not a rock fan per se but I like any kind of music provided it's done well.

Trouble by Cold Play.
It's almost as if it was written especially for me.

Coldplay rocks, I absolutely love their songs, Yellow, Scientist, Fix you. lot of good songs.

The album X&Y is full of great songs, propably best album i own.

With or without you by U2, Every breath you take by Police.

Travis, The Verve, Oasis (older material), Keane all have lot of good songs.

Some heavier songs which i someway like are from Three days grace - Riot, very catchy song :)

If I want to hear interesting lyrics, I'll get someone to read me some poetry ...

Not that you'd think so watching me, but I like to dance when I listen to music. [Care of the 'free-expression' lessons in infants school.]

Soooo....

Timberland Scream <for you HHeelers>

Natasha Bedingfield and Chicane <for the ladies>

Róisín Murphy "You know me better" <a visual and aural delight that you will be singing to yourself for the rest of the day>

Enjoy....

Most of the songs from the original Bat out of Hell (Meatloaf if you live under a rock).
Ace of Spades - Motorhead.
Smoke on the water - Deep Purple just for the rift
Californication - Red Hot Chilli Peppers
among others....
my music tastes are much more varied than that but the thread does ask for Rock toons.

What a fun question!

Rakim, by Dead Can Dance. If you can understand the words they are using, you are better than me. (I picked a video that wouldn't be deleted by the You Tube moderators).

The Men, by Covenant and Monochrome, also by Covenant. Covenant is from Sweden. You think if I tell all the Swedish girls I meet that I like Covenant, that I'll then attract into my life the Swedish Super Model I someday hope to meet? :)

I used to work in the industry, and I worked directly with some well known groups, particularly 1980s hard rock and heavy metal bands. That's partly where the association with / love of boots comes from, although I did like them before hand. For anonymity's sake I'm not going to say much, but it was a great experience. I like music of all sorts, but I particularly love 1980s hard rock.
