Exclamation Forum guidelines and rules (START HERE)

Welcome to the High Heel Meeting Place Discussion Forum.

These forums are for your benefit, and that of the other members.

Feel free to post questions, messages, and replies about high heels and other topics, provided they remain within the forum's rules, below. By participating on this website you agree to both learn and abide by these rules, including the consequences of any infractions/penalties.

Please respect the rules, as they will serve you and the others well. Reject them, and you will be warned, penalised, temporarily banned, or permanently banned, depending on the number and severity of the violations.

HHPlace is an English based website, and therefore, all contributions must be kept in English, otherwise they may be removed by any of our team at any time, without warning.

Posting Location:
Please ensure you post in the correct forum and thread, according to your message content. If you're unsure of where to post, please take the time to familiarize yourself with the layout of the website/forums.

If you have any questions about the website or forums or how to use the website in general then please see the FAQ in the forums, or the Website instructions found linked on the website homepage, or you can post any problems/queries in the techical support forum.

Please do not ask your moderators to delete all of your posts as this cause's an awful lot of confusion and creates a mess of the forum, and will be denied anyway.

Duplicate Posts:
Put simply, duplicate posts are not permitted, particularly two posts in two different forums as a way of "increasing exposure." This includes duplicating any current topic, as it simply dilutes the ongoing discussion.

Subject Matter:

Allowed:

* Discussion about shoes or fashions

* General lighthearted discussion, hellos, goodbyes, requests

* Discussion / Disagreement re: political systems, public figures

* Discussion about various fashion interests, including stockings, skirts, dresses, fashion-related.

* Fantasy. Who says posts have to be true? Sometimes fantasy is the closest to your own reality, and it's welcome if it is on topic and sincerely put.

* References or links to vendors which the member owns, or has had personal experience with, should be posted in the Shoe wholesale / retail / internet stores unless occassionally used in general discussion.

* Listings of shoes for sale by a member themselves, provided it remains on an occasional and personal basis and stays in the High Heels for sale forum

Not allowed:

* SPAM, defined as:
==> Advertisements of any kind
==> Attempts to get others to leave this board.
(Note, this does not include references to the occasional post on similar fashion sites)
==> Repeated Links to commercial websites or posts with links only and no messages.
Note: Posting a link to a commercial website in the Marketplace forums is ok.
==> Post boosting with empty posts like "............(smily)" or "Thanks_______"
(Note: The 10 character limit is there for a reason)

* Vulgar language

* Posting in the men's forum about anything other than men in heels

* Posting in the women's forum about anything other than women in heels

* Remarks which directly or indirectly attack or demean another's race, religion, creed, political stance or sexuality

* Personal attacks/insults/defamatory remarks towards or about other members of the forum.

* Pornography, and links to anything containing pornography, as defined by the display of any genetalia, feminine breasts, posterior regions of either sex, or replicated copies, whether molded, drawn, painted, or otherwise replicated

* Any material deemed likely to be illegal in any of the countries from which this website is most likely to be viewed

* Flooding, as defined by highly repetitive posting of the same or similar points, or the posting of what most would construe to be nonsense

* Sock puppetry, and any attempt to regain entry once banned

* Usernames containing offensive words or attempts to re-create offensive words.

* Duplicate user accounts by the same person.

New members:
All new members at the high heel meeting place have a few restrictions in place just to prevent abuse but these restrictions are automatically lifted once you have made 5 posts or more. These restrictions are nothing serious but you wont be able to add a profile picture, add an avatar, add a signature, set a homepage, use the forums search facility or be visable on the members list until you have made 5 proper forum post's or more.

(Any duplicate posting, "here's another one" or "Thanks" posts will be deleted)
======[ If you want to say thanks, then just use the "Say thanks" button ]======

Members and Forum privacy
In the interests of members privacy and that of your forum admins/moderators, we have concluded that you should NOT post telephone numbers or email addresses anywhere on the website at all as these will be deleted. Use the PM/Email system.

You should also note the Private messages are to remain private at all times.
DO NOT post information/requests you have received from moderators/admins in a private message into the public forums.

A quick recap
Most discussion is allowed, until it crosses the line between common sense and civility, and into the area of what most people in polite company would consider vulgar or inappropriate for adolescents and young adults.

If you're still in doubt as to what crosses the line, remember that The High Heel Meeting Place is a "Family Friendly" / PG13 intended website and will be moderated as required to keep it this way.

Disciplinary Actions:
If your post is found by a moderator to have crossed the line, it will be dealt with swiftly, and appropriately. Depending upon the severity of the infraction, you may be warned, have reputation points taken away (By other members as well as moderators), temporarily banned with a warning, or permanently banned.

This forum has a yellow/red card warnings system. You will be banned on your third yellow, or second red warning for the same or similar infraction, although this will generally be discussed by more than one moderator before action is taken and you will be notified in advance.

Please be aware that other members can also deduct reputation points for your posts and/or report your posts using the red triangle found in every post which alerts moderators and admins of that post and the reason it was reported.

You may be banned by your user name, IP address, or both. If we discover you've registered under a new username and IP address, you will be banned again without warning.

If you continue to abuse the forum, we will contact your Internet Service Provider and notify their abuse department. Coupled with the information of your time and date of posting and their own records, they will know exactly who you are and you may well find your internet access terminated in accordance with both their guidelines and ours.

Our utmost concern is for the majority of the members here. If you share our concerns, your time here will be well spent.

Appeals:
You always have the right to appeal to the moderator who took action. If that moderator is not available after a reasonable amount of time (three days), forward your appeal to another moderator. If you're not satisfied with your appeal to a moderator, elevate the appeal to the system administrator.

Depending on the nature of the infraction, he/she may invite the input of other moderators, or may decide the issue him/herself. However, a final decision is final.

Whatever you do, please do not put the issue to the other members of the board. It's not why they're here, they do not enjoy it, and abuse along these lines are grounds for being permanently banned.

You should also be aware that any Private Messages's or emails you receive from moderators/admins or warnings/penalties issued are NOT to be discussed in the public forums at all as we are not here to defend ourselves and this simply lowers the tone for everybody, we are here to help you all and any negative posting about moderators/admins requests in the public forums will be deleted without notice.

Your Moderators
We are here to help you enjoy this website and make sure everyone is treated as fairly as possible. We are not here to take sides, although we have our opinions like anyone else.

A list of your current moderators / admins is here: Current moderator team

At times, we may find it necessary to move your thread, change the title, lock it (usually to stop flame wars), edit your post, or even delete content in the interests of keeping the board safe and tidy.

We expect you to use the appropriate judgement when using the forum, as we're not your editors or personal clean-up crew. If the editing effort for any one member becomes too high, we will issue a warning.

Closing:
Again, welcome to The High Heel Meeting Place, where we hope you will have as much fun exploring your enjoyment of heels as the rest of us!

Please take the time to read the forum instructions which will help you make the most of your website usage here at hhplace.org
