Well, hi there, greetings from the Netherlands. I hope there are a few fellow Dutchies here on this forum.
A little about me.
I'm a long time lurker. I used to lurk on these boards before there was a high heel place but only the simple board on Jenny's high heels site. Like you all I love high heels. They're the epitome of sexiness and femininity. I've got several pairs now, including some ballet boots but I'm not really a full time wearer. Only at home when the mood hits me and mostly in bed. For some reason I love to sleep in them. And in case you're wondering, I've never poked any holes in my sheets.
I don't know when my interest started but it must have been in the early 80's. That decade where ugly chunky 70's platforms gave way again to stilletos. I do remember raiding my mother's closet and trying on some of her shoes but they were to small for me. Coincidentally I also found my mother's porn that way. Thanks, mum!
It wasn't until late in highschool that I found the nerve to go into a shoe store and buy me a pair of high heels. Nothing high, only 3 inches, and they were to small. Back then most shoe stores only stocked women shoes up to size 41/9.5 And my normal shoes began at 42, 43. But hey, beggars couldn't be choosers. There was no internet back then.
In 1990 I went to Amsterdam for the first time to see a Black Sabbath show and to pass the time I walked the city centre and found some fetish stores which had larger size high heels. I had to have them! When I went to university I began collecting several pairs, including some thigh boots. I've also experimented with women's underwear for a while, and while fun it's not really my thing. Nowadays I only wear women's stockings for obvious reasons and even then knee high is good enough. Unless they're sandals in which case I don't need any.
I did learn I have some weird feet though. Somehow they're more wider then usual. If my feet were normal width I think I could wear high heels size 44/12 or 45/13, but because they're not I'm forced to wear size 46/14. Which gives me way to much space to slide back and fro when walking in boots. And sometimes a size 46/14 isn't big enough either as my left foot is even wider.
Lately I've gotten me two pairs of ballet boots which I love but which are very hard to wear. But then again, I expected this so I'm not worried. I've even made myself a couple of ballet trainers, as by the instructions file from Heike's high heel site. Using that you can really build yourself a pair of ballet trainers for around €50. Barring trial and error of course as its a first time built. ;)
Anyway, after years of lurking from time to time I hope to become a part of this wonderful community.
